Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Sweet aroma with beautiful hop notes . Hints of grassyness and summer. Pours a brilliant golden hue with a well developed lasting head. Belgian lace with bearded structures form as I drink this ale. Sweet forward flavors with a lingering bitter, but not walloped, finish. Very clean palate. Pine forests? Clean flavors. Excellent IPA. Top of class. Excellent accompaniment to foods that need some cleansing bitter notes, yet perfect to sip on the porch after a long day at work.

12oz bottle from shawnm213, thanks man. Gold/yellow, hazy pour with a white head. Grassy, piney aroma. Nice little hop bite, very smooth with a touch of sweetness in the finish, pretty good.

Bottle. Pours an amber, orange color with a little head. Smell is pines and hops. Taste is well balanced with the hop flavors coming though...it is what it is...

This is the perfect IPA; the bitterness is perfectly balanced with a creamy malt, and the 7% ABV is just right for an IPA.

One of my favorite IPAs, this brew has it all for this style. Great looks, a pleasantly hoppy aroma, and a balanced body that shows how good an IPA can be when given a healthy dose of hops and strong backbone of malts to display them on. LC

Batch 8998. Appearance – Poured into my Sam Adams glass, a bright yellow with a cloudy orange center. A 1 and a half finger fluffy white head with amazingly beautiful lacing and retention. This beer is beautiful, absolutely beautiful. The bubbles flow endlessly from the laser-etching at the bottom; that never gets old! Smell – This smells like summer. Sweet citrusy notes dominate the nose: tangerines, lemons, mangos, and grapefruits! Has a nice hint of floral hops as well. Taste – The hop “zing” from this IPA is absolutely perfect. It hits my tongue the way it wants to be hit, not too hard, but it sure lets you know it is there. The grapefruit and tangerines come through beautifully after the hops do their job. I love this beer. Mouthfeel – Nice and light, but not too light. It sticks around for a second to let you get the full spectrum of taste that this has to offer, then goes away with a cooling feeling that is refreshing to say the least. Drinkability – I could drink this all morning, all day, all evening, and all night. Now if only I had a case… There is absolutely nothing wrong with this beer, it is amazing, and deserves all the praise in the world. Cheers to Bell’s for creating the perfect IPA!
