The flavor is quite hoppy but not over-powering. Rather drink a Hopslam but still good. canary dog (443), Rutland, Vermont, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2009 12 oz. bottle at Union Jack, Arlington VA. Dark and hazy. Taste is very sharp. The hops are very citrusy, and almost pine-like in its sharpness. Overall, not bad. I appreciate the bold flavors of this IPA although I would prefer a bit more bitterness to go along with the high citrusy-pine cone notes. RHeastings (433), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Enjoyed via draft in a pilsner glass. This classic does not disappoint. While the aroma could have been a bit more prevalent, the flavor if this mid-western IPA is nearly unmatched. Hops up front are set in tandem with a finishing sweetness of malt and a dry finish that leaves the drinker reaching for the glass again. Agaguk (120), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
