Commercial Description:
India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

On tap/bottle?I think it was on tap? From Jose Pistolas, Philadelphia 17-11-08 Pours light amber with a really stunning fresh hoppy nose and a great terrapin like snappy bite to it, but there are enough malts to carry this through to make it enormously tasty. There is a nice drying appleyness on the roof of the mouth, its good stuff. A7 A4 F7 P4 OV15

My favorite beer. Introduced to this a few years back by my porch loving hippie friends. Excellent hop level, nothing too extreme, but obviously noticeable. High ABV can lead to some great nights. Take this rating with a grain of salt however, as a fisheries biologist, I may or may not be biased by the label.

Growler. Poured a murky deep amber. Big floral hop nose. Flavor very similar to nose, with sweet, fruity, and floral hops. Medium bitter finish.

Golden yellow pour with a big fluffy head that settles down to a lingering quarter inch. Aroma of floral hops, grapefruit, cream. Super easy to drink, but full of character. Not too much bitterness, but plenty of hops, from floral to fruity to grassy. Some soapy flavor. Maybe a little to light. All-around, a very enjoyable IPA.

Sixer at the Wegman’s by my folks for Turkey day. I am underwhelmed with this puppy.. Yeah yeah lots of hops. Yeah yeah it smells like a hop silo. yes it is a nice pale yellow gold with a respectable ammnt of carb. with at thin continuous head. It has a bit (this much) body which reduces itself to a thin watery body. I found this brew lacking for all the hype. It aint hop devil. B.L.A.H.

I’ve had this via bottle and tap. Will now only go the bottle route. This is hands down the best IPA I have ever gotten my hands on. I have tried many, but I always go back to the old stand by, Two Hearted.

Cloudy, lightened copper pour. Huge, pillowy white head. Very frothy and sticky. Super flowery nose. Fresh floral and grapefruit. Mellow flavor, very fresh and crisp, lightened citrus and fleeting pine. Sweet, toasty malt backbone. Medium to medium-thick body. Finishes with a touch of resin...just to let you know it’s there. I’m not sure about Hemingway-esque trips to the upper penninsula, but this is an easy drinking IPA. Flowing flavors with the right amount of bitterness and body without having that over-the-top, tongue blistering assault. Great for a session in front of the fire.

Two Hearted pours a thoroughly opal gamboge, an almost mustard yellow color. The head is thick but lacy, straw-colored, and lasts quite a while, forming a mushroom in the center. The hop aroma is strong enough that you don’t even need to lean in. Supremely floral, strong rose and orange blossoms predominate. Some grapefruit shines through as well. While the flavor is unmistakably bitter, it is not as intense as many American IPAs. Floral hop flavor, light citric fruitiness, and a faint tartness make up the immediate impression. The bitterness comes afterward with the liveliness of the carbonation and a slight sweetness to balance.
