Thanks go out to Ughsmash for this. Medium hued copper body with a decent sized white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops, but not as intense as I’d expect. Flavor is very good, the hops are there throughout along with a nice sweet balance of malts. Finish is very good with that nice lingering hop taste left in your mouth. Large dense off white head. Reduces slowly and leaves a thick sheet of lacing. Light carbonation. Nice hoppy aroma. Caramel malts, citrus fruit and spruce all present. Hint of orange in there. Color is a dark copper orange. Decent malty flavor with a little roasted grains, dry peanut skins, and some bitterness. Not as much as the aroma. Bitterness and hops become more prominent late swallow. Minimal alcohol presence. Bitter, dry, pasty finish. A decent IPA but could stand to be a little bigger. Needs a little more hops in the flavor to offset the large malt presence. Thanks to robertsrealty for this one.

Cloudy orange-gold. Nose floral and quite citric. Flavor is rather hoppy but not overly so, some citric bite. Malts are quite big and soft, rather doughy, some caramel sweetness. If anything, this is a somewhat over-malted IIPA, still good, but I’d like it to be bigger.

Rerate. 12 oz no date. Pours a hazy honey golden with a one finger yellowish white head with good retention Aroma of pine, grapefruit, and citrus hops. There is some yeasty bready caramel malts as well--surprised the hops have held up as well as they have after ~6 mos. Flavor is citrusy and herbal hops with moderate bitterness and bready caramelly malts. Moderate carbonation with a medium body. Pretty good overall, but not as good as i originally thought. Old rating follows. 12oz bottle, no date. Pours a hazy orange with a small light yellow head. Aroma of big floral hops--not to the point of being perfumey--, a little resiny and some citrus hops, some caramel hops. Big floral bitterness in taste and there is still a bit of citrusy hops . I do get some sweet caramel malts, though not for long. Dry astringent finish with some slight chalk. Medium bodied, mod-high carbonation. Quite good. 8-3-9-3-17--4.0

Rating #2900... Bottle... GABF RB Tasting ’06... Hazy, golden ale with orange highlights and a small, tight, white head. Good retention. Fruity, earthy nose with plenty of west coast hops. Lightly sweet flavor up front, then big bitterness and a pinch of salt. Medium to full-bodied and astringent with fizzy carbonation. Lengthy, medium bitter, dry finish. via trade with 1FastSTi - Pours an amber color with a good size off white head. Head leaves some nice lacing as it settles. Has a nice citrus hop aroma. Has a bitter citrus hop flavor. Has a thin mouthfeel with a slight lingering astringent aftertaste. Light to medium body. It lacks the balance of some of the other top IPA’s. Still, a good beer. Thanks Blake.

Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Aroma has a strong caramel presence along with some grapefruit and flowery hops. Pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a film. Starts with moderate caramel malt and a hint of cookie dough. Huge piney and floral hopped finish that lingers on the palate for some time.

A lot of floaters for a non-bottle fermented beer. Orange with a thin head with a bit of lace. Grapefruit in a glass from the nose to the toes. Not a lot going on after that, maybe a bit of sweetness. Just a way overbalanced IPA.
