Commercial Description:
Big, fat & flowing with hoppiness. Humongous nose... bursting with flavor... and intense mouth-numbing bitterness. The Bitter Woman’s evil alter ego!

Pours a lightly hazy, dark orange amber color. A large, spongy, cream colored head shows excellent retention, leaving thick clumps of lacing on the glass. Despite some age, the nose still shows alot of hops. Orange juice and soft grapefruit provide fruity hop notes, while some resinous pine provides a solid, bitter punch. Big time caramel and toffee malts add good balance, providing creamy, buttery scents. The flavor mirrors the nose, with a well balanced blend of malty caramel and toffee matched against sharp citrus and pine hops. The mouthfeel is substantial, creamy, and perfectly carbonated at this point. Finishes long, with bitterness coming through on the roof of the mouth. When fresh, I’d bet this is the most impressive of the Tyranena IPAs. As it is, with some age on it, its still pretty damn good.

bottle. Reminds me of some of the other Tyranena offerings....and that’s a good thing! Amber pour...small white head. I know that aroma...big sweet maltiness, citric piney hop aroma. Medium bodied, sweet cara-malt flavor with a matching light hop backup. Bitter at the end but not harsh at all....not a bit. Tasty session style IPA.

Big pillowy yeast nose, with a starchy, dry hop and pine cone scent. Bitter, almost pugent, coarse and aggressive on the tongue. Flavors of chewy malts overrun with chaotic coarseness and dryness. The chewiness increases over time, and by the end of the glass, which I’m really enjoying, to be honest, it’s a big of a honey, hop and wheat bread flavor that is pretty nice. Less of a fruity, dank IPA and more of a toasty, piney IPA.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet with a strong note of hops as well as a medium note of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and hops, giving it a light note of grapefruit.

bottle.....appearance: trasparent orange-brown with thin off-white head....aroma: mild hop aroma consisting of citrus aromatics but with a solid malt backbone to it....taste: bitter pine resin hop hits you immediatelyin the face but evened out by caramel malt all at the same time. finish is both bitter and sweet. the malts fade but the bitterness remains......agreed, the bite was a little overbearing bust still a good ipa.

Bottle from tytoanderso - thanks! Certainly modest compared to Tyranena’s Hop Whore, but this is a very full and floral IPA, big and bready (its body and mouthfeel may be the most impressive element) with a lustrous hop profile that comes on strong but yields subtleties as it lingers. Substantial from the malts too, this one satisfies quite nicely.

Clear orange colour with a white head. Malty, caramel sweet aroma with hoppy fruity and floral notes. Hoppy, pine bitter flavor with floral and fruity notes.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a few floaties, head is off white and medium sized. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, sweet malts. Flavor is floral hops, grapefruit, caramel, some pine notes. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes crisp and bitter. Good, but not great.
