Commercial Description:
Big, fat & flowing with hoppiness. Humongous nose... bursting with flavor... and intense mouth-numbing bitterness. The Bitter Woman’s evil alter ego!

Pours orange with an average creamy vanilla head. Nose is more barley wineish than IPA. Plenty of hops but also a strong caramel malt base. Flavor is more of the same. For 6.25% ABV, the flavors seem to explode. This is like a subdued barley wine, although the hops take the forefront more in taste than in the nose. Good impression from my first Tyranena brew. Thanks MilkmanDan for this brew.

Candy-licious orange syrup, sweet lime mist, and blood orange vinagrette, with flowery resins and light caramel over wisping alder smoke. Dense. Crystal-clear ruddied orange tan, with golden fringe. Creamy top with sweet lacing. A mildly static first impression, then into sweeping hop symphonies and tart currents of resin and pine. A pungent mist of almond-like caramel toffee rises through the ashes of a thousand hops, oozing their sappy coatings on the tongue. Lots of pale spice in lime zest, coriander husks and light white pepper. A nice blend of differing hop characters. Lucious. Hops edge a little tart and metallic, but remain perfumy in the smack. Nice lemon character. A nice, rich deep-bodied hop blast.

The pour is pretty good, a murky medium amber that forms into a nice sized foam head that lasts quite a while. Smell is pretty, meh. Slight alcohol, and hops sent, but not much for an IPA. Taste is pretty good, would be great if it was a regular pale ale. A solid brew, but a little under the standards of a IPA.

Bottle from after4ever. The label brings a smile. Pours a hazy amber with a lacy white head. Citrus pine nose. Sweet toffee and citrus taste with a resinous pine finish.

Secret Santa gift; 12-oz. Thanks! Coppery amber body with thick sudsy white head. Humongous floral and citrus nose with beautiful bouquet of pine beneath. Pretty much the gamut of hops dancing around atop this one. Big attack with decent body, lots of carb, and huge flavors. Lots of caramel and biscuit, but that’s nothing compared to the tsunami of pine and resin that washes across to the finish. Super intensely bitter, especially at the end, but very drinkable; borderline sessionable, even.

Thanks to my boy bgburdman for sharing this with me. Aroma was earthy hops and some sweet scents. Golden brown color with a full palate. Bitter right up front with some caramel malts. Kinda sweet, but mostly earthy.

The aroma reminds a lot of founders centennial ipa. Lots of grapefruit and pine aroma. also a bit of caramel. cloudy and dark copper in color. Flavor is a bit surprising. more watered than i was expecting. bitter from start to finish. a kind of burnt toffee taste for some reason. Lots of piney flavors on the finish. This might be a bit past prime. Gets better as it warms up.
