Commercial Description:
Rob so enjoyed the rye component of Dirty Old Man that we decided to brew an IPA with it as well. We’ll be amping up the gravity, as well as the flavoring and aroma hops (relative to Bitter Woman).

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Light orange on the pour. Some amounts of hops on the aroma. There might be flavors of hops as well present. Proud to say I have shared a beer with the guy who’s likeness is on this label.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Apparently the cartoon from Dirty Old Man and this beer looks like one of our fellow Dallas raters, who shall remain nameless. Pours with a small white head over a golden body. Aroma of orange, grass, caramel and a touch of rye. Taste is orange and rye spicy/breadiness. Light bubbles.

Bottle at Chris´grill party. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Smells of hops, alcohol and a bit of rye. Also a bit of dark rye bread as it ages in the glass. Low sweetness with some bitterness. Good loads of hops with touches of rye. Light to medium body with a soft carbonation. Could have a bit more body.

Suspended particle laden amber with a medium taupe head that slowly fades away and a few light bubbles. Aroma of rye, citrus, malt and some vegetal notes. Taste of rye, mild citrus, caramel and light sulfur. Palate is a bit oily and it finishes up only mildly bitter. For some reason, this one doesn’t seem hoppy enough.

bottle 12 oz. - Poured copper color with small head that faded quick. Aroma - hops , pine, citrus and grapefruit. Flavor - Definite rye bread taste mixed with ample amount of hops. Palate - medium bodied with average carbonation. Finish is dry and very bitter! Overall - Strong overall flavor for an IPA. Rye adds to the taste and is better than original Bitter Woman. Does taste stronger than 5.9%, slight dissapointment!

Bottle. Pours clear amber with an average, rocky off-white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, cereal, meal), heavy hop (flowers, citrus, pine), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of alcohol, apple, pear, peach, and pineapple. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.
