Nov 26, 2009 aroma is not unlike some wet pilsner malt mixed with substantial spice note. some citrus as beer opens. translucent golden pour with handsome film head and good carb. some grapefruit and good lingering bitterness. throat coating spicy mix sticks around. becomes especially pleasant as it warms with a luxurious soft mouthfeel. despite the rye this is exceedingly mild, more rye character and spiciness would have benefited it greatly.

Nov 25, 2009 @TBBC tasting Thanks Mrs D-12oz bottle-pours an off white ring for a head and copper color. Aroma is orange-citrus/pine, some light/medium malt. Taste is orange-citrus/pine, some light/medium malt/some grain-rye.

Nov 15, 2009 Bottle courtesy of mibirder. Pours reddish-amber with a thin, but lacy head. Aroma is citrus hops on a characteristic rye backbone. Flavor is much the same with the rye spiciness making itself known in the finish. Good carbonation and a silky body make this amazingly drinkable. Rye definitely enhances the flavor of the already excellent Bitter Woman.

Nov 15, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours an orange amber color with a medium off white head. The aroma has citrus hoppiness, a spicy bite of rye, and some additional floral and resiny hops. The flavor is a fresh green earthy citrus hoppiness, the rye component is stronger mid to late, with moderate bitterness throughout. Medium bodied, smooth, dry finish. This is a nice drinkable IPA.

Oct 25, 2009 Floral hop aroma with just a hint of rye spicing. Flavor is pretty dominated by hops on the entry, nice malts in the middle, then more solid hop bitterness with a little more of that spicy rye in the finish and aftertaste. Very nice.

Oct 21, 2009 Bottle… October ’09 O-Town Throwdown... Clear yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma presents black tea, caramel, resin and spicy rye. Full-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavor tilts toward the bitter side of balance, but provides nice malty, grainy essences of caramel and rye. Bittersweet, dry finish. Bottle provided by juiceisloose

Oct 12, 2009 Pour is red amber body with a thin soapy head. Nose is vegetal and fruity hops with some rye and caramel malts. Interesting mouthfeel, somewhat dry finish but the rye kind of slowly sneaks in, giving a interesting kick at the end. Because of its uniqueness, I enjoyed this over the regular Bitter Woman.
