After taste akin to lime skin, that bitter! Moderate mouth feel. Pretty good IPA. tennisjoel (942), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Thanks islay for selling me one of these off your 6 pk. Pour is copper red with a thin off white head. Lively carbonating bubbles (champagne like) race to the top of the glass. Obviously hops are dominant in the nose, but they are balanced with a nice dose of caramel malts. This reminds me of Summit Extra Pale Ale. Therefore this stikes me as more of an APA and not IPA. Good but I was expecting more of a hop bite that I didn’t get. The Bitter Woman from Hell Extra IPA was much better. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA

Bitter Woman is up there with Alpha King and other great IPAs, or should be. Strong bitter taste, the only downside is the piney finish. scoobysnak (249), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 5, 2007 This beer is great. One of the best midwest IPA’s I have had. Flavor is malty and possibly a bread like flavor also. Aftertaste of grapefruit. drewbeerme (2277), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2007 12oz bottle. pours clear amber with off white head. nose has some fruity hop notes but mostly biscuit malt notes. flavor is more malts at this point, sweet caramel, toasted biscuit, and some piney grapefruit hops. even though i don’t think this at it’s freshest. crisp fruity and refreshing. enjoyed. joe1510 (501), Illinois, USA

Ahh the Bitter Woman. Pours a clear clean copper with very few carbonation bubbles. A 1+ finger white head formed on the pour that fell to a thick cap and stayed put. Leaves sheet lacing after each sip. Nice looking beverage.
Sweet biscuity malt starts the aroma off. Somewhat doughy as well. Fresh cut grass and hay are the dominant hop aromas and they show themselves pretty quickly. Good but nothing spectacular.
Very pale biscuity malts kick things off. The hops come around mid palate but ae somewhat weak. Very balanced IPA but I’m more into the lopsided hoppy IPAs. It’s definately a good beer and I drink it whenever I get to Wisconsin but it can be a little dull at times.
Good mouthfeel. Smooth and somewhat creamy with a medium body. Low carbonation lets the beer roll through on it’s own. Mild bitterness.
Definately a sessionable beer. Balanced enough to drink a good quantity in one sitting.
Tyranena makes some damn fine beers. On a hot summer day Bitter Woman does the trick. Most of the time I’m looking for hopsided IPAs. Again, definately a solid brew from Tyranena.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Don’t even know what to say about this. Very normal, below average IPA. Quite bitter. Slight lemony sweetness for a brief moment in the finish is nice. Everything else is boring and lame.
