| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 20, 2006 Big head that lasts forever. Pine and spice aromas are slightly faint. Taste is overpoweringly bitter but I guess that is what you get with a beer called bitter woman. Nice smooth maltiness before the bitter finish has some hints of citrus and orange which are nice. grimreeser (797), Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2006 Pours amber with decent sized head. Strong floral hops aroma, nice. Wow bitter. Good beer, but I can’t handle them this bitter. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Sampled at the Fall Crawl 2006 (our camping trip). Pours a medium amber with a small head. Aroma and flavor of BIG HOPS, citrus, floral and a touch of pine. The finish is bitter. Perfect name for an IPA. Very good stuff. antzman (313), Clarksville, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 15, 2006 Bottle. Thanks to my father in law for bringing this down to me. Pours a light amber with a full off-white head. Good lacing on the glass, with plenty of carbonation. The aroma is full of hops... pine, citrus, little bit of caramel malt. The flavor is excellent. An introduction of malts, and then the hops butt their way past that and take over. The hops are full of pine flavor, with an excellent amount of bitterness, without overwhelming the palate. A nice dry, clean finish. Very well done IPA RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 11, 2006 bottle. Aroma: Strong pine and grapefruit aroma with some resin in the background. Some lemon, pineapple, and a bit of mango, too. Caramel and toasted malt. Appearance: Light copper in color and slightly hazed. Off white head was full and foamy with good retention. Decent lacing. Flavor: Some light malt and caramel at first, Hops come on medium strong with pine, citrus, and some floral. Bitterness is medium-strong and lasts just past the finish. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Medium carboination. Dry finish. Overall: A good IPA with a nice hop profile, and a nice cleansing bitterness. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2006 Copper color, off-white head. Nose spicy and peppery, lots of pine. Flavor acidic and hoppy, pine bite, some citrus. Malts are a mite thin, but still decent balance. Full and rich enough in the palate. Decent IPA. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 8, 2006 My nose was surprised to find the fat PNW hops that were able to squeeze thru the skinny bottleneck as I popped the cap off this one! Pours a particulate-speckled amber with a rocky white head that resembles styrofoam. Pleasant pine and citrus rise above it with a lemony tea-like backdrop. Mid-bodied finishing dry. Citrusy flavors do not lose their bitter edge despite the presence of some sweet (almost sugary) malts. Nicely balanced, but enough IBUs remain to keep you hop-heads interested.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Thanks to MIBRomeo for this one. Pours chill hazy deep copper with big, frothy off-white head. Aroma of luscius piney hops, big tropical fruit, citrus, caramel malt. Tastes piney and hoppy, piney, on the bitter side, with mid-palate caramel malt, fruit, and some black pepper. Complex, dense palate that evolves as it warms. This, as with every Tyranena beer I’ve yet had, is a world class example of its style. If I ever win Power Ball, I’m buying a mansion midway between Lake Mills and New Glarus, Wisconsin.
