Aroma of citrus grapefriut. Copper color body with off white head. Flavor had a medium bodied citrus flavor to it. Cool and crisp with a dry palate. Decent brew.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 2, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Nicely balanced IPA, with considerably more hops than their Stone Teepee. Very enjoyable and refreshing, one of my favorite local IPA’s. I can’t wait for the return of the Bitter Woman from Hell. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 20, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) Now this is a solid, well-balanced IPA. Bitter Woman is indeed quite bitter, but not as bitter as the old maid on the label. The hops presents a prominent grapefruit character, but the moderately sweet and grainy maltiness provides a nice base that holds its own against the hops. There is also a fair amount of fruitiness and orange citrus joining in. The nose is sweet, fruity, citrusy and grainy. Body is in the medium range, carbonation is good, and the bitter hops yields a moderately crisp finish. Light amber color, with a slight haze for the duration of the session. The off-white head doesn’t rise above a full finger’s width, but really settles slowly, though eventually fading to a wide ring. And there is lots of drooping, ringed lace at the top of the glass. Maybe not quite good enough to make my list of elite IPAs, but this has been very enjoyable to sample. Good stuff. sloth (1684), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Lightly hazy copper/amber hued ale. Hoppy, juicey nose is moderately resiny, plenty of pine and citrusy notes. Body is medium, palate is lightly resiny. Hoppy, fruity flavors, piney hops, caramel maltiness along with citrus and apricot notes. Finish is dry and fruity. A solid, drink it anytime IPA! Very fruity aroma of citrus fruits, light pine, floral hops, and light caramel malt. Taste of caramel malts, citrus fruits, pine, and a nice grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Thanks Steve! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 4, 2005 Bottle, from trade with Duane. Good nose, familiar, Sweet. Orange, nutty, lemon, grapefruit. Clean brownish orange, good head that faded quickly to a ring. Bitter flavors, like aromas with the grapefruit and nuttiness being the the biggest. Orange and caramel too. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, bitter finish. Tasty brew, has a familiar aroma and taste, though I can’t think of what right now. Nicely done.
