Appearance: Beautiful amber pour, slightly hazy with sediment, flourishes up a couple fingers of head that leave lacing all down the glass. Flavor: Hop-forward, pine and citrus, along with a significant bitterness that lasts into the finish. In the middle, the bitterness is countered by bready malts with a touch of sweetness. Palate: Light, juicy body with lively carbonation. A little warming on the finish counters the bitter aftertaste. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Floral, wheaty, somewhat herbal scent with a not-too-powerful, mild, citrusy taste, decently long finish. Clean, simple and nice. FunkyBrewster (506), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 2, 2008 an almost non existent off white head. Aroma is pretty weak with some earthy and sweet hop notes. Flavor is the opposite of aroma. Starts out very strong and slams the tongue with hops and solid hop bitterness. Some sweet caramel notes come through in the finish and linger. Medium body and medium carbonation. I was worried with the weak aroma, but was pleasantly surprised by the strong hop presence. 37steel (186), St. Charles, Illinois, USA

I bought it part of a sampler 2 weeks ago in Milwaukee. I guess that goes to show how long beers can sit around in stores. It poured a dark amber with a tan head. It was way too dark for me to be an IPA. Bottle had more malt flavor than hop flavor. What a disappointment. That’s what I get for buying something that sat for almost a year. Grapefruit and floral. Some caramel. Flavor is also well hopped but there is no grapefruit. It is pine, floral, bread. This bitter woman has a sweet side, too with some caramel malt notes. A zingy feel is a result of the chosen hops. Unique and enjoyable. thegreenrooster (1846), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2008 Pour was a bright orange with a soapy white head. Aroma is a decent mix of citrus hops and caramel malts. Do it again on the flavor with the fruity hops and caramel malts. Decent IPA but by this time I may have burnt the palate out. doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA
