Pours black, tan head. Aroma is chocolaty and malty. Taste, roasted / chocolate with light coffee notes. Lightly hoppy finish. Very drinkable porter.

12oz bottle. Deep opaque black color. Rich and full bodied, with a solid chocolate and roasted malt backbone. Pleasant sweet cocoa aroma. Relatively full-bodied for the style, quite rich in taste. Balanced bitter chocolate aftertaste. This is a good Porter.

Solid porter. Dark brown, almost black pour with a nice sized tan to light brown head. Aroma...well I wouldn’t describe it like a virgin touched for the first time (haha, nice rate Phil aka 502Flavors), but it is nice of vanilla, chocolate, small hints of various roasted malts. Flavor is of the same with something that gives it a sweet taste...perhaps Phil is right in that molasses. Smooth, a little thin and easy to drink.

(Thanks John, Kosko20!) 12 oz. bottle into shaker. Near black darky dark hole brown with a big sexy steamy light brown head. Aroma is very nice – like a virgin touched for the very first time: mostly creamy vanilla and chocolate. Flavor is more typical porter and a bit less sexy, but still enticing – burn and roasted malt and some molasses and tobacco flavors. Medium bodied with light carbonation – smooth but a bit thin feeling. Overall: perfect example of the style; delicious, drinkable, and very balanced.

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice dark brown with a rich, frothy tan head that has great retention and laces very well. The aroma is a little understated. There are hints of roasted chocolate and coffee. I was hoping for a bit bigger nose though. Flavor is full of roasty chocolate and coffee just like the nose. It is very smooth and very drinkable. The mouthfeel is nice and creamy and just slides over your tongue and down your throat. Very nice porter.

Aroma- Moderate roasted malts ranging from coffee, chocolate, to caramel, low grassy aroma, bitter tones, no esters, no diacetyl. Appearance- Deep dense brown hue with dark ruby highlights, good clarity in the light, small off-white head dissipates to a thin ring. Flavors- Roasty coffee malts dominate with a backing of bittersweet chocolate, low-medium hop bitterness with grassy tones, no diacetyl, no esters, finishes with light dryness and sweetness. Mouthfeel- Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth texture. Overall- A straight-forward roasted malt porter with a nice balance of sweet chocolate and bitter coffee tones balanced by subtle hops, no major flaws but this beer has no true standout qualities from other porters, good example of the style.

Pours a dark brown nearly black with a small tan frothy head. Aroma is very sweet with a strong roasted malt and sharp chocolate presence. Flavor starts out with a very pleasant sweet chocolate toast sort of flavor, like a chocolate cereal. Some nice bitterness appears in the finish and lingers for a while. Medium- full body and med-high carbonation. Good porter, very good balance of sweet and bitter.

12 oz bottle. Dark brown almost black with a thick tan head. Roasty, toasty aromas. Lots of chocolate in the flavor with a biscuty edge to it. Very solid beer. Quite enjoyable.
