Bottle shared by fiver29. Thanks again john! Pour is a dark brown/black and a smallish brown head. Aroma is strong coffee...overpowering anything else that may be there. Flavor is bitter coffee, some wood and malt. Medium bodied. If you like coffee, you will like this beer. If not, stay far away!

Jul 17, 2008 Bottle from iowaherkeye. Thanks Joey! Pours a deep brown with a solid tan head. Nose is roasted malts with a good amount of coffee, and just a hint of bourbon sweetness. Nice rounded flavor with more coffee, roasted malts, cocoa, and sweet bourbon. Silky smooth, yet chewy, mouthfeel. Pretty tasty porter.

Jul 16, 2008 After a long night of drinking and you need a cup of coffee, this is the beer for you. Has that roasted coffee noselike that pot at a diner that been sitting on the hot plate all night long. Kind of like an Irish coffee on the palate, the coffee roastiness mellows into small balanced hints of bourbon, light woody maltiness and a small amount of vanilla and sweet oatmeal. Yummy!

Jul 13, 2008 Thanks to thickfreakness for this bottle! Shared with MaltOMeal and thickfreakness. Very dark pour with a very thin head. Aroma is coffee, molasses and soft bourbon notes. Flavor is strong coffee grounds...rich and full. Good mouthfeel, rich and full with great coffee finish. Very enjoyable and a good meal of a beer. Thanks Charles.

Jul 12, 2008 12oz bottle served at cellar temperature. The aroma was dominated by coffee with whiffs of anise, chocolate liqueur and vanilla. I didn’t get any significant booze in the nose. Poured an opaque black color with a khaki head. Full bodied and slightly sweet with modest carbonation and a smooth mouth feel. Delicious combination of flavors including the likes of coffee, subdued bourbon, vanilla, anise, and chocolate. Some roastiness emerged at the end. I’ve been lukewarm on most of the ’Brewers Gone Wild’ series beers, so this was better than I had anticipated. The balance between the coffee, roasted malt, and bourbon was nice.

Jul 11, 2008 Bottles thanks to SQNfan and pepsican - thanks!!! I am quite a fan of coffee beers so this is a treat. Big, dark brown pour with a smaller head. Aroma is pure coffee bliss - lots of fresh coffee, chocolate, vanilla, licorice, bourbon/oak.....Flavor has a nice coffee-chocolate-vanilla-wood mix that is really something special. Not too sweet, not too strong/alcoholic, not too bold on the barrel. Simply smooth and delicious with a really nice feel. By far the best Tyranena brew, hands down (and thats sayin somethin!) This almost makes up for those annoying Packer and Brewer fans.
