Im going to agree with ol ThirstyNeck. The coffee aspect of this brew is amazing, as it has more coffee then any brew I have had, but what seperates it is the smoothness and balance of the coffee and the bourbon. The bourbon aspect is pretty subdued, but its there, with a little sweetness at the end. The coffee is so smooth, creamy, roasty, good. I didnt think they could top the regular Devil from last year, but this has just that little extra that makes it the perfect brew for me.

Incredible. I love coffee beers, and the original devil was something to write home about. However, this one is insane. Everything about it is just perfect. The bourbon is not overpowering at all, there is just enough hints of chocolate, sweet vanilla, and oaky toastiness in this one. Amazingly smooth and creamy on the tongue, and a real treat as it parties on the palate for quite some time. The aroma is of dark heavily roasted coffee with a touch of vanilla and sweet bourbon, but just a touch. Can’t say much else besides wow........yep best coffee brew i’ve had yet. Though there are many great ones! I must add to this AGAIN! The more i drink the more incredible it is. I have 30 bottles but cannot bring myself to drink them out of fear of what ill do when its gone! Swish it in your mouth a bit and swallow it... wait a few seconds and lick between teeth and gums.....OH MY OH MY.! Woooooo

12 oz bottle - Poured coffee black with hint of ruby on edges. Small tan head that faded quickly. Nice lacing on glass! Aroma - Rich black COFFEE beans and vanilla. Flavor - Awesome coffee and some coconut taste. Like eating a mounds bar with a cup of joe. Palate - Heavy mouthfeel with average carbonation. Finish is exactly like drinking coffee but better, sweet and roasted coffee bean. Overall - I am impressed!!! The aroma is amazing and taste is better. I am not a huge coffee drinker but this is a better alternative!! This beer is so good its scary!!?? GO AND TRY THIS BEER!!!

Courtesy of Pepsican. Bottle pours a pitch black. Smells like a starbucks coffee with some beer on the side. Tastes like a dark coffee and has a wonderful taste. Coffee, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, coffee, syrup, coffee, oak, and coffee. Has a silky medium mouthfeel. Overall, this is one of the best brews I have ever had.

Bottle courtesy of Joey at South Bay Drugs & Liquor and a thank you to who ever hooked him up. Pours a dense pitch black with a creamy layering of tanned head. I strongly believe this porter has the closest aroma to coffee that I have ever come across. Nose is a rich and robust scent similar to an Arabic/Turkish coffee or perhaps a dark black Hawaiian coffee bean. The palate is simply amazing with its refined and silky smooth texture that leaves behind a thick creamy mouth feel. The flavor is as rich and dark of coffee as the aroma had promised and it also adds a creamy half and half taste. I don’t know why I have never heard of this brewing company before since this offering by them alone has me ecstatic about their potential and other catalog of beers.

Pours a thick dark brown color with a nice tan head. Gigantic aroma of coffee punched me in the nose upon first wiff. Not much else making it through that great coffee bean aroma. Flavor is of coffee bean that is perfectly intertwined with hints of vanilla and bourbon. Great, smooth as silk body as well. Leaves a great coffee aftertaste in your mouth.Wow....what a excellent brew! Thanks Brewblackhole!

It is beers like this that make me stop regretting my decision to live in Wisconsin! Dark, dark brown. The aroma is straight coffee with only a bit of the bourbony, oaky smells coming through. Smooth as silk. I really enjoyed this one. On tap at the brewery

Pours a deep black with just a hint of some amber notes and a medium creamy/bubbly tan head that left some lacing. Aroma of fresh coffee beans, vanilla, oak, milk chocolate, nuts, oats, a touch of some smoke and just a hint of bourbon. I could smell this all day long! Flavor of the same coffee, milk chocolate, light vanilla, some oak, a very small touch of bourbon, nuts, mocha and just great. This one really hit the spot for me. Great mix of milk chocolate goodness with just the right amount of coffee and touch of bourbon barrel aging. Nothing overpowering here, just a great balance, Tyranena hit the nail on the head in my opinion!
