No lacing. Aroma is light banana and spice. Flavor is light yeast, very light banana, and a nice bit of spice. Palate is slightly tart and fizzy. Light to medium body. I just walked inside to grab a beer. It’s almost a 100 degrees outside and this beer hit the spot. A good beer. Thanks Wendy and Bill. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

Light malts, wheat, grains and spices. I thought I picked up hints of coriander also. Flavor of light malts, floral, and hops. Decent beer. RAYBOY01 (1834), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 14, 2007 Typically citrusy tartness, with banana, clove, and cut grass. This is a very nice rendition of the style, by an outstanding WI brewer. I found it very refreshing...reminiscent of warmer months. In fact, I’m using it to hasten the end of another horrible Chicago winter. Cornfield (4942), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Good hefeweizen pour, a pale straw body, very carbonated, with a tall fizzy white head. It smells of ripe bananas, soft wheat, and a sharp clove spiciness. It’s very light, spritzy, and tart on the tongue. The flavor has fresh bananas, a glob of bubblegum, clove, and a light lemon tartness to it. Nicely done. I’ll need some of these for the warmer months.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2007 Bottle. Pours a yellow color with an incredible, overflowing head. Highly carbonated. Nose is light bubblegum and banana. Not a rich and creamy hefeweizen but leaning toward American wheat. Pleasent soft banana and wheat flavors and slight citric undertones, but rather thin bodied. Thanks to wallybrau for the bottle. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Simple honey yellow. Very slim cap of white foam doesn’t last long. Very minimal lace.
Aroma is nice and wheaty sweet with a shade of banana mustyness and a tad of clove to it. The wheaty sweet breadyness is wholesomely good.
Taste sticks that wheaty sweetness from the smell right in its place on tha palate. Firm, rounded, semi crisp and tangy wheaty breadyness is super smooth and soft with a slight banana flavoring and pear hints the back as it glides right along with a nice length to its taste. Very slight hint to clove and grass tint the finishing areas.
Feel is wheaty smooth with a nice rounded crispness to the semi tangy breadyness. Favorable finish with an easy, lofty malt glide with touches of grassy spices.
A decent enough hefe, I think this being a somewhat older, shelf sat sixer; as fresh, this is probably even better. The wheat tones are nice in this one. twindadplus2 (415), Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Hazy, very pale gold with a decent fizzy head that faded quickly. Mild aroma of bananas and crisp wheat with a mild touch of clove in the background. Taste is dry, sweet grains, and fruity notes with a spicy, peppery taste throughout. Lightly carbonated and very soft on the palate. Really not that bad just could have used help in a few minor areas. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 3, 2006 12 oz bottle (Woodmans on Gammon Road, Madison WI August 2006) served from a Weihenstephan glass between cellar and fridge temperature. Faintly hazy but mostly clear dull gold body with a largish, fizzy, quick-dying head....milky-sweet banana-shake aroma, sourdough bready malts are just around the corner but wait! where are the cloves?....weak, water and pretty dull sour, doughy body, light peppery notes, syrupy and cloying, carbonation way too low for the style, fruity esters are really faint....this just doesn’t work at all; I’ve got problems with most American hefes anyway, but these guys aren’t even hitting the side of the barn here.
