Copper color. Smell of sweet malt, hops, rye, copper, flowers, nuts, caramel and bread. Taste of hops, malt, sugar, fruit, granola, caramel, bits of citrus zest and a nice tangy, bitterness at the end.

Bottle. Chestnut with red highlights and a very light haze and an extremely thin head. Dry, nutty, malty nose with a hint of spice. Toasty, sweet, nutty malt flavors with a very subdued hops character. Medium bodied with a nice roasty finish. Very nice.

From a twist cap stubby brown bottled with a story on the left side of label and a short blurb on the upper right side, no bottled/freshness date. Made a good appearance, poured a clear reddish amber with a foamy beige head that settled into a thin lacing, moderate carbonation overall. Had a toasted malty nose along with hints of toffee nuts and a spicy hops. A semi-crisp, smooth medium bodied mouth feel, average drinkability. Nutty, like in roasted nuts and sweet toasted malts taste, caramelized sugary, a little bready as well, a buried spicy, slightly earthy hoppiness, a watery bitterness and a toasted, with a light roastiness, malty finish. For me personally, Capital brews the best Wisconsin Mai Bock, the Mai Bock from Tyranena is not something I would purchase on a regular basis, not as good as some of their other beers.

Bready malty toastiness in aroma,a touch of hop ,not strong enough to proclaim it a noble one, and a touch of sweet carmel. Clear light orange amber color, slightly sweet carmel taste, high medium texture, not of a complex nature, alcohol nature slightly low,hop bitterness and a tweak of some copper metal aftertaste. Tastey, drinkable,,malt profile could be a little more complex, alcohol should be closer to 6.5

Pours a dark clear bronze color. Nice sized just off white head. Aroma is english biscuit malt, (breadyness) toffee, caramel, lots of sweetness. Flavor is sweet like caramel. Some cherry in there as well as biscuits. Not bad.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours copper with a large tan head. Rye bread jumps out first followed by caramel, mild spices and grassy notes. Finishes slightly bitter.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium to dark copper color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of bread, light caramel, and I also got a light spiciness to it. Tastes of bread, toffee, caramel, and a very light fruitiness to it. Easy to drink and tasty.
