Mar 31, 2003 A first rate Mai-bock in all sense of style and taste. This is one that you should not miss, full flavored and nice clean hop finish. Rob actually took 6-7 weeks to lager this puppy before releasing. Its full malt flavor is wonderful and complements a nice bratwurst meal with a little sauerkraut. Spring is here go buy this lager NOW !!!!!

Mar 23, 2004 Clearish dulled golden rusty color and from a vigorous pour gets a fast growing crown about a finger high of cream colored bubbly thick froth but wanes away quickly leaving a light collar and minimal spotty lacing. Aroma has a solid softly warming bread tone, dullish sweet and fruity and even a bit toasted. Nice malt filled taste, slightly chewy and cloying yet firm and tender. Soft as all hell toffee and dulled fruityness with a lighter toasty breadish quality always present. Pleasantly mild hop spice. Feel is smooth and slightly chewy, thick and giving malts, coats well as it goes down leaving toffee and bread notes with hinderences of spice coming across late. One damn nice Maibock. I really like its over all feel and quaffability. Most Maibocks are pretty darn drinkable but this surpasses most in that catagory. Quite the drinker!

May 21, 2006 Pours a nice copper color with small to no head. Has a wonderful Caramel/sweet aroma to it.Nice malty sweet taste followed by a hint of hop bitterness.Very smooth,nicley balanced!Good Brew!

Apr 25, 2004 A nice malt nose. Deep orange-amber with little head retention. Super malt taste that is balanced by a slight bitterness and alcohol and lingering sweetness. Complex for a straightforward beer. No hop flavor/taste/aroma. Very tasty overall.

Mar 7, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Smells effervescent and lemony. Traditional maibock coloring. Tastes of grapefruit, mango, caramel and hops. Full tasting, oily on the palate. Nice rendition of a maibock.

Apr 28, 2004 I thought this was named after a group of contentious chickadees, but no, it’s about a band of battlesome brothers...c’est la vie...
Clear, pale bronze hue, short-lived, perfunctory head.
Aroma, clean, airy, mineral hints, coppery sheen, deep, malty impressions.
Taste: light and easy on the tongue at first, bright and brisk, no hops, p[alpable malt, though, rich and buttery, smooth and sweet.
Darned nice maibock, reminds me of why I like this style so much. Flavor rests well on the palate, and takes it’s sweet time. I could sit down and get familiar with a few of these.
Medium body, medium finish, sweet, tasty. Ain’t nothing wrong with this one.

Oct 12, 2006 Bottle. Chestnut with red highlights and a very light haze and an extremely thin head. Dry, nutty, malty nose with a hint of spice. Toasty, sweet, nutty malt flavors with a very subdued hops character. Medium bodied with a nice roasty finish. Very nice.
