Extremely light grain aroma, with the slightest hint of a sugary caramel, taste is a little more forthcoming, slight sweet malt grain taste with a slight bitterness lingering in the background, higly carbonated, even for a lager, correct to style, thirst quenching ,but a slight impression of being watery

ON tap at the brewery. Very smooth and balanced oktoberfest brew. Pretty hoppy for an O fest, bonus in my book! Kinda a cross of bitter woman and a regular o fest. Tasty times!

Deep copper colored out of the bottle with a thin beige foam ring around the edge of the glass. Nose of caremels with some citrus. Grainy maltiness, white sugar sweetness, light bready notes and a subtle citrus finish. Okay beer that was better with a sandwich. Thanks to JCapriotti for the bottle.

Bottled. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange with a short cap of white head. The nose picked up sweet toasted caramel, dried floral hops, and a hint of sour citrus. The flavor was all mashed together, hard to really identify its components... I know there was some tacky caramel sweetness, floral, and citrus... but they didn’t seem to play nicely together. Light-medium bodied... just felt ok on the palate. This wasn’t bad, but I’m going to give it the big "meh".

12oz bottle. Aroma: Light toastiness. Good, clean maltiness. Very light caramel and floral. Appearance: Light copper in color and very clear. Off-white head was full and foamy with decent retention. Not much lacing. Flavor: Medium malt sweetness up front. Toasted bread and nuts. Hop bitterness is just a touch to high for the style, but not unpleasant. Medium dry finish. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: A good version of the style, and very drinkable. Too much hop bitterness and floral aroma/flavor for the style.

Far better than Capital’s Oktoberfest but not as good as HP’ original. Complex and well balanced Toasty smokey maltyness and grassy woody hops clean crisp dry finish with great aftertaste and mouth feel. Body is perhaps touch ligh and a bit more malt, hops, grain would be nic but a very solid, tasty seasonal.

From a 12 oz. twist off stubby bottle with blurbs on the label, no freshness dates, but this is the fall ’06 release. Poured a amberish copper with a foamy, fluffy head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing, minimal amount of sticking. Floral and fruity aromas with touches of toasted grain and caramel. Good, steady carbonation and a softly crisp, smooth light-medium bodied mouthfeel. Pleasant Oktoberfest taste, a soft toasted grain, a light tasting sweet caramel, hints of toffee, floral and fruity hops that have a subdued spiciness, and in the finish, some earthy nuttiness and sweet maltiness. A nice drinkable seasonal Oktoberfest from Tyranena, I personally would have like a little more grain and malt flavor, but still drinkable, a Wisconsin friend told me this is better from the tap.
