| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 15, 2007 This altbier pours a slightly murky medium amber color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel and toffee and slightly sweet, but with a touch of smokiness. A medium bodied alt. The malts are caramel and toffee. The hops are floral and earthy. There is a smokiness and grassiness to this beer. The malts seem a little bit burnt. Good balance. Lively carbonation. Nice session ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and slightly dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. shrubber85 (3014), Wallhalben, Germany

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2007 A very nice session ale. I made the mistake of trying it on a hot and humid day, and it just didn’t seem to fit. I tried it again on a cooler day and it fit in just fine. Not necessarily my "type" of beer, but a pretty good representation of an altbier. cbkschubert (2027), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
