Commercial Description:
The Headless Man is brewed in the "old way" of a Düsseldorf-style Altbier. A unique cold lagering process gives this amber ale its smooth taste.

Bottle. Pours a nice medium amber color with a decent tan head that leaves a fair lacing. Sort of a light bodied beer that has the aroma of a mix of caramel and malt. Has a bit of a nutty taste that finishes dry and with a hint of hops. I liked this beer and think it would be a good easy beer to enjoy if you wanted sit down and hoist a few.

Color reminded me of apple juice over a whispy small bubbled off white head. A nice earthy aroma some floral hop notes and a good amount of carmel. Palate is very thin. Flavor is light toffee and carmel some earthy notes and a light spice. smooth and boring.

Amber small head. Malty, a bit salty. Flavor is medium sweet herbal hoppiness throughout. Medium body. Drinkable but nothing special.

Lighly roasted malt flavor profile, perhaps hampered by the rather thin mouthfeel. Some caramel and toffee flavors upfront followed by an earthy hopping adding a moderate bitter bite. Seemed a little insubstantial to me...a little water-down. Slightly musty finish. Drinkable, but does not excite.

bottle-deep bright orange with a whispy soapy white head with mild lacing. aroma of toasted caramel malts and light bread notes. big malt flavors here-bready, toasted and sweet (berries). palate is a little on the thin side, but not bad considering the style. a pretty good american respresentation of the style

Poured gloden brown with thick soapy white head. Some hints of citrus or maybe floral hops. Very smooth with just a little dry hoppy finish

A decent altbier. It was smooth but not memorable. A good thing to buy if you are in the mood for an affordable 6-pack.

Light copper colored body with a frothy white head. The aroma is subtle with grainy wood and some light soybeans. There are also fall leaves in here. The taste is light with bread crust and a hint of grapefruit. There is also a little tobacco and some light caramel. The slick body is a little thin. Nicely done. A great session style brew.
