| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 30, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a nice amber color, slight pearly head, dissipates quickly. Aroma is a faint malt, caramel. Flavor is a dry malt, very crisp. Palate is a bit fizzy, but it worked all right with the crisp flavor. Overall a decent beer. EHopper (348), Minnesota, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 28, 2008 12oz shorty bottle. Cloudy orange brown color. Being a big Alt fan I was certainly let down by this one. Overly sweet artificial aroma. The taste is equally off, full of awkward ambery tastes. Lacks balance, despite a watery smoothness. A mess of a beer, perhaps better on draft. Certainly isnt worthy of the Alt name. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2008 Bottle in trade from milwaukeeclassic. Thanks man. Pours an amber color with a medium lived offwhite head. Smell is toasty malt and almost light coffee flavor and breadiness to it. Taste is bitter, bready rich dusty malt. Flavorful toasty bread and earthy hops. Medium to light bodied and normal carbonation. Pretty solid flavor and drinkability, although body is a touch light. sebletitje (1925), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 26, 2008 Pours amber, with an off-white head.
Aroma is roasted malts with nice caramel and chocolate and bready-dough nose.
Taste is roasted and chocolate malts. grassy-vegetable hops/yeast with herbal touch. The overall taste leaves a nice light caramel mouthfeel with a very light hoppy finish.
Received this in a mix Tyranena pack. Very drinkable, smooth, filled with flavors make this one an amazing amber. 502Flavors (621), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2008 (thanks John, kosko20!) 12 oz bottle into shaker. Beautiful slightly hazy amber brown with a bit of an orange tint to it and a great creamy dirt white head. The aroma works very well with hints of nutty and doughy malt to balance a subtle but very nice piney hop character. Flavor is the same. Very balanced with a perfect finish – with an oaky vanilla quality. Unbelievably drinkable. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Overall: perfect session beer for the early fall, but I could drink this all day during any season.
