| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Bottle... Mostly clear, golden ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. The nose offers lots of biscuit and a little toffee. Earthy, fruity hops provide a notation of black tea with a trace of grapefruit. Medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Well-balanced flavor. Earthy, black tea bitterness offset by biscuit sweetness. Crisp, clean, refreshing finish. Bottle provided by scubarex! Trev (887), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA

Aroma is earthy malt, light cut hay hop and fruit tones, at first I thought I noticed some barnyard yeasty tones but they faded to be replaced by the caramel and fruit.
Flavour is earthy malt again, fairly smooth, mild sweetness, some dried fruity tones but they are subdued. Light bitterness in the finish.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a moderate white head that falls back into the beer rather quickly leaving only a thin white ring. Very nice nose on this beer. It is mostly sweet malt aroma mixed in with a nice subtle hop presence. Flavor is grainy and earthy, not as sweet as you would think from the aroma. Mouthfeel is good, but it has a lingering aftertaste at the top of my throat. Not bad at all. joergen (8635), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 16, 2008 The appearance is a cloudy bright orange to an amber and it has a foamy white head. Slightly bitter and earthy tasting. More earthy spices and a little sweet malt comes at the end. Nothing really stands out. I’ll stick with their porters.
