The Headless Man is brewed in the "old way" of a Düsseldorf-style Altbier. A unique cold lagering process gives this amber ale its smooth taste.

12 fl oz botle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing off-white head. Mild cinnamon spiced aroma. Flavour is mild roasted with a light bitterness and mild malt base.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, flat copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, with scents of grain, caramel, syrupy hops, and roasted malt. Taste is light, with a relatively flat and dry flavor of grain and malt and perhaps a slight honey-tasting sweetness on the finish. Nothing special, but still pleasant.

Richly amber colored with a thick off white head, giving off a somewhat butterscotch-like aroma with toasty accents. Overall flavor is considerably lighter than expected, with a fruity and somewhat watery aspect. The finish is pleasant enough, but quickly dissipates from the palate leaving a sweet, if somewhat light flavor. Due to its lightness, it would make a great pair to grilled chicken and potato salad on a picnic.

12oz bottle. Poured a clear dark orange color. Head was off white and left some lace behind. Smelled of steeping barley and toffee. Light to medium bodied. Dry on the tongue with a malt dominated flavor including the likes of subdued graham cracker and burnt toffee (mostly at the end). There was also the slightest hint of blueberry. Pretty good stuff.

Sampled from bottle: pours a light brown colour, medium bodied with a small creamy off white head. Some noticeable wood or oak in the taste. Aromas of biscuits, cranberries and spice. Taste is relatively light and creamy.

Pours amber with a slight beige head. Aroma is light malt. Taste is nice malt, brown sugar, biscuits maybe a bit of caramel. Mouthfeel is great. There’s a dry finish. It’s really tasty, and I enjoyed the beer.

clear amber color, beige colored-head. aroma almost seems medicinal/herbal with an out-of-place extremely faint buttery note. Flavor is nicely malted, with hints of honey and burned sugar that I get in a lot of IPAs...this beer seems like it is all over the place to me. aroma and flavor don’t seem to match up...could just be me though...wouldn’t be the first time!

Bottle thanks to CMUBEERMAN. Pours hazy orange amber, thin off white head. Aroma is malt, peat, spices. Flavor is the same with grass and grain that cancels out the peat and allows me to finish this beer. ;)
