Commercial Description:
The Headless Man is brewed in the "old way" of a Düsseldorf-style Altbier. A unique cold lagering process gives this amber ale its smooth taste.

Thin fluffy head of fine bubbles. Minimal carbonation. Strange aroma with some light ugly fruit, cardboard, malts and a bit of caramel. Dark orange amber in color. Light roasted malts in the flavor. Grainy notes and a touch of floral hops. Very easy drinking and a bit dry at the finish with a lingering roastyness. A decent alt. A style I have not had in quite a while.

Pours a clear light brown with a yellowish head. Sweet and quite malty with tiny hints of toasted- and smoked malts. Also caramel aromas. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Short bitter finish. OK

Bottle shared with MaltOMeal. Thaks!
Pours a deep amber but with a thin body. Aroma is roasted nut, grass, and a touch of honey. Palate was surprisingly pleasant and subtle. Different taste; not quite "there."

12 oz botle thanks to maximum12 (BA site). Pours orangeish amber with a thin white head. Bold roasty malt smell with hint of caramel. Taste is mostly roasted malt with some hoppiness. Mouthfeel is medium with a bitter aftertaste. This one was predominantly roast malt over hops.

Short, 12oz, Twist-off bottle. Bright clear copper color. Aroma has hints of maple, malts and grass. Flavor is a bold malt character. Finishes with a crisp hop bitterness. Bitter lingers on. Light-medium bodied.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark amber body with a wispy white head. Smell: Bready, even toasty aroma of caramel, flowers, and spice. Taste: Toasted grains tasting of burnt breadcrusts with a more distinct, sweet caramel maltiness. Pinch of woody sawdust. Floral, spicy hop character. Slight hop bite to counter the sweetness. Sweetish finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A good, well-balanced beer and a real quaff sensation.

12oz bottle. Sweet & Tasty aroma. Dark amber w/ half inch head which quickly fades away. Tastes smooth throughout, a little tart on the back end. Mild bitter but nice overall flavor. A fine effort throughout.
