12oz bottle thanks to TheCheeseMan. Pours a cloudy caramel brown with a half finger tan head that faded pretty fast. The nose is light tobacco, dark fruit, caramel and sweet brandy. The taste is similar with a some light vanilla oak tannins mixed in and nice brandy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel. Nice stuff. Thanks for sending this my way Daniel!

Iowaherkeye strikes again! Brown pour. Brandy, vanilla, wood, and caramel in the aroma. Flavor is boozy, with notes of caramel, brandy, bourbon, vanilla, and alcohol. Good stuff all around.

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured hazy dark brown with a moderate frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Heavy toasted, woody, vanilla and cherry with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of long duration. This is a standout beer.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with an average, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, toffee, nutty), average hop (flowers, perfume), average yeast (earth, leather, broth) with notes of brandy, oak, plum, and brown sugar. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, heavy sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

12oz bottle. Very cloudy brown color, not much head too it. Sweet aroma, vanilla, some wood, can smell the brandy as well. Flavor is similar to the aroma, can taste the alcohol a little bit as well, this is quite smooth also, very easy to drink, very nice.

12oz bottle courtesy of iowaherkeye poured into a tulip. Pours a dark mahogany in the glass that shows a hazy copper when held up to the light. An aggressive pour yields a small off-white head that recedes quickly to ring and leaves some delicate lacing on the way down. The smell is fantastic with the base sweet malts but the brandy really comes out and mixes well with the base aromas perfectly. The sweet fark fruits also come out with figs and raisins and a hint of booze in the nose. The taste is just as good as the aroma with a big sweet dark fruit kick up front and then plenty of caramel malts and toffee. The finish has the brandy coming out a little more. The mouthfeel is very smooth with soft carbonation and plenty of barrel presence with a slightly dry finish and some alcohol. This is a great brown ale, one of the best I’ve had recently. I love what the brandy brings to the table and turn this into a really original beer. Loved it.
