Bottle - I’m honestly forgetting who this is from, but I think I have a couple of bottles from a pair of fine traders - thanks! Dark brown color with a small head. Aroma has some sweet brown sugar, candy, brandy and oak. Flavor is a pleasantly sweet and woody mix of caramel, brown sugar, candy, oak/woody brandy, and chocolate. Nice, smooth mouthfeel that isn’t overdone. Very unique and tasty beer from a brewer that really makes some unique, high-quality stuff.

Bottle - courtesy of hopdog. Thanks Steve! Murky mahogany pour. Small fading tan head. Nose is sweet and candyish. Some chocolate, dark malts and alcohol as well. Taste is delicious! Brandy notes, some candy, sweet malts, woody notes, chocolate, and some nutty flavors as well. Body is thinner than I expected. Sort of a fizzy carbonation to this as well. Otherwise this goes down easy with a mild alcohol warmth. Finishes with more candy notes, brandy sweet malts, chocolate, wood, and nuttiness. This is great! I could drink this all night!

Thanks to yjb for sharing this gem! A slightly hazed brown with a thin tan film of a head. Biggish alcohol with that alcoholic sweetness. Rather sweet. Full dark malt, chocolate particularly. Some strawberry maybe? Low carbonation. Not much viscosity, but not watery, perhaps a session style? Big sweet beer! Balanced with alcohol and fruity oak. Strawberry again? Big dark malt, nothing roasty, it’s a all chocolate and caramel. Lingering tannins. I hate brandy, but apparently I love brandy barrel aged beers!

Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & GregClow -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a hazy amber-brown with little floaties and an average size diminishing tan head. Aroma of wood, vanilla, sweet fruit, chocolate, alcohol and hops. Nice flavour of brown sugar, wood, roasted caramel, hops, alcohol and more -- mmm, so drinkable. Medium bodied. Can feel the alcohol but I can’t really taste it, it’s quite well hidden. Very good stuff.

Thanks to MIBRomeo for the trade. This beer pours a mostly opaque dark mahogany color with a medium thick and foamy light beige head that diminishes pretty quickly. Thin top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Wood, malt and touches of alcohol in the nose. Full-bodied with a strong chocolate malt character. Hints of plum, alcohol and roasted malt flavors as well. The finish is chewy with a resonating brandy flavor and a light hops aftertaste. Well done.

bottle. Hazy coppery-red pour...small beige head. Nose is bourbony...a little oaky..with a slight vanilla malt hint. Medium bodied....flavor is some alcohol, caramel malts, light fruits. The bourbo-whiskey edge increases as it warms...lightly bitter toward the end. Tasty!

Smells like dirty, mustylaundry and soggy cardboard. Flavor has some maple, molAsses and caramel. It tastes like a very malty barleysine. There’s a decent nuttiness with some chocolate, like a bad candy bar.
