Poured with a light tan head with lots of lace. Hazy brown color. Nose of cookies, malt, caramel, toffee, a tiny bit roasty, nutty, and of course brandy. Flavor is about the same but more intense. The brandy is a great Wisconsin touch. A bit boozy, but it works. Head does eventually disappear. One of the very best browns I’ve ever had! Had this at the Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse.l

Poured a hazy, mahogany chestnut color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of brandy, nuts, sticky caramel malts, charred smoke, and vanilla. Taste of more chewy caramel malts, vanilla, smoke, brandy, vanilla, and light dried fruits, with a fair amount of alcohol in the finish.

All the elements of a brandy barrel are the first things that hit you in the aroma, little whiffs of malt wort, but the brandy, and the wood barrel itself is what gets your attention, head is typicaly low. Taste is again that very wonderful brandy taste,so different then all those bourbon barrels we have been saturated with, with touches of chocolate, hints of cherry, and just a touch of hop bitterness, body is just a hair above medium, wish it would be just a touch meatier, but it still is a sipper ,that lovely brandy barrel taste just lingers like the kiss of a high class broad in your mouth

bottle. Pours a hazy red brown with a minimal tan head. Nose is a light cherry and wood. Hits hard with alcohol heat but leaves with layers of flavors. Cherry, brandy, vanilla, allspice, wood, more vanilla, oak. A parfait of malts and wood. Best by these guys I’ve had. I need to get by there more often.
