Oct 1, 2008 Pours hazy dark copper with thin cream colored head. Nose is floral and earthy hops with some caramel malt. The flavor is quite the same, with a smooth mouthfeel.

Oct 1, 2008 Pours an amber color. A little afraid because I got no head with an aggressive pour, but I think my Duvel glass is too wide. Aroma is grapefruit, pineapple, and some earthiness. Taste is grapefruit, pineapple, peppery spice, with a caramel malt backbone and a medium-bitter finish. Take HopSlam and add a bigger malt backbone and there ya go.

Sep 28, 2008 ABR ’08 - Pours a dark copper color with off white head. The nose is a nice balance of hop and sweetness. Comes across the palate with a medium amount of carbonation. Flavor is nice with a good amount of hop but yet still well balanced. Finish is plain hops but not over powering. Overall a really nice brew and one that I am glad to have tried; and I’m sure I’ll try it again.

Sep 17, 2008 12oz Shared with my Girlfriend, probably overdue to be drunk pours orange with a tan head. Nose is hoppy with a nice citrus kick and the taste is nicely balanced with an abundance of flavor, another great beer from tyranena.

Sep 8, 2008 Updated: Mar 9, 2009Bottle, snifter. Big floral hop aroma with peach-like fruity notes. Hazy, nut brown brew with a dense tan head that even after bubbling down coats everything, glass, beer, mouth, with a film of tiny bubbles. First taste is strongly floral, then malts kick in, caramel, nutty, but there’s enough bitterness going on that its hard to call it sweet. The malts and the hops are more fighting it out than working together. Slippery, creamy mouthfeel from all the tiny suds. Lingering bitter aftertaste, floral, pine, citrus elements all present.
