Courtesy fantomas23. This one poured a deep orange amber colro with a small white head that left swirly lacing around the glass. The aroma shows citrus fruit and grapefruit hops along with toasted caramel and butter toffee. With each smell the hops and malts battle each other for supremacy. The flavor shows much the same with grapefruit and citrus hops up front with a big caramel malt backbone. The hops show a good dose of bitterness, but the caramel and toffee are able to balance things out nicely. Medium-full mouthfeel that is slightly creamy and leads to long bitter finish. This is a big beer and a nice double ipa at that.

What a tastey hopalicious brew! Pours an illuminating orange-copper body with a large frothy hop filled head. Backed up by plenty of citrusyness as well as tons of ripe strong bitter hop flavor. I noticed it was a little piney also. Plenty of carbonation throughout the beer. Perfect for all the hop heads out there. Did I mention how hoppy this was??

Perfumy tangy aroma with lots of caramel. Deep caramel in color with a tight, fluffy white head. Big time caramel, near syrupy, with a hop bite like a rattlesnake. Very rich and creamy with a slight hop burn at the finish. Not your usual alcohol bomb. Thanks AJ!

Pours a hazy golden amber with a bunch of small floaties and a medium bubbly/creamy off white head that left some ringy lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, floral/perfume, light citrus, nuts and...smells like a double IPA that may have sat around for a while. Flavor of the same with a caramel/nutty malt flavor, some floral/herbal notes, light citrus...and yeah..this one may be passing it’s prime in terms of fresh Double IPA’s are concerned.

Bottle from tytoanderso. Huge thanks. I was really looking forward to trying this. I’m becoming a big Tyranena fan. pours amber with small offwhite head. Sweet, malty, some caramelization. Smooth, easy to drink. I just received this bottle a week or so go, so I assume it is relatively fresh, but the hop aroma is low, and the bitterness is low too. in this case, I don’t hold it against the beer, because it is still excellent. Very good beer.

12 oz bottle courtesy Kingpin IPA. Pours a deep amber color with a small off white head. Big grapefruit hop aroma that is just wonderful. Taste is hop, citrus bitter dry with some caramel malt in there for balance. Very hoppy grapefruit like taste. Drinks pretty good for something this hoppy. Finishes with a dry citrus bitterness, but not so much that I don’t want to take another sip. Very good.

12 oz bottle. Pours a honey amber color, slightly cloudy, with a thick, creamy head. Wow. Heavily hopped floral aroma, perfect for an imperial IPA. Flavor is sharp, dominated by hops, with some pineapple and grapefruit notes. Finishes with a strong spice flavor. In a word, delicious.

12 oz bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, MN. Pour is golden ruby, with an off white 2 inch head. There are a bunch of suspended particulates in the glass. Some pieces are pretty chunky. Really thick lacing, looks painted on. Aroma of hoppy grapefruit citrus and pine. Resinous nose. Some rye malt in the background. Taste is the bitter resinous pine hops mostly, with the grainy maltiness balancing it out nicely. The sweet grapefruit from the nose is pretty subdued in the taste. Palate is medium, holds the very full flavor together well. The chunkiness of the pour gave this a very unfiltered mouth feel which was great with this beer. Tasty beer.
