| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Pours an orange amber with a one finger head that dissipates quickly, some floaties. Sweet resiny aroma, citrusy, oranges, sweet citrus, a little cannabis, some alcohol. The flavor seems to be composed more of harsher hop oils, not as much hop flavor, waxy bitter, some citrus, grapefruit peel, warming alcohol, a bit off in the flavor. Spicy mouthfeel with some warming. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA

amber, copper body...dirty white head, 2 fingers thick and lasting...nice lacing...nose is a huge blast of hops, grapefruit and bitter, smells awesome...some backing malts in there as well, but mainly this is the hop’s show...flavor is similar, maybe a little more malt forward than the aroma, but still tastes great...tons of pine and earthy notes come to the front...this might not have been the freshest bottle around, so that could explain it...medium bodied, perfect for the style...oily, slick mouthfeel makes this one a breeze to chug...not sure what the ABV is, but it’s not noticeable...finish is more hops, citrus fruits, pine cones and some caramel malts...
Great stuff, hit the spot after all of the dark malty and chocolate beers that we had at this tasting. Would love to have some of this around. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 26, 2008 Dark copper with an off-white head. Lots of citrus hops and ample notes of pine, and caramel sweetness. The flavor starts off on a sweet note and then the hops bitterness kicks in. Crisp, refreshing, and satisfying. Excellent.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Updated: Feb 25, 2008Muddy brown, almost no head, but I gave it a 4 on appearance ’cause I like the name "Hop Whore" Nice aroma of caramel mixed with a very woodsy, earthy hop note. Flavor is earthy, smoky hops at first, then some slick, sweet malt notes. Smooth and satisfying. Thanks to fordest for the trade! jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 17, 2008 12oz bottle, courtesy of Brigadier. Thanks!!!, pours a nice deep dark orange, aroma is obvious hops, with a taste of deep down burn, seriously burns deep down... this is a thicker darker denser IIPA than say a dreadnaught or Hopslam... it has that deep down burn as opposed to that bright citrus hop. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Bottle. Copper-orange body with a medium-sized creamy white head. The aroma has some orangey resin and toasty malts. Tastes pretty chewy and flowery with some breadiness. Finishes extremely bitter and I think it could of used a bit more balance. You just couldn’t ask for a better looking beer when poured into my handy-dandy Sam Adams glass. Probably not the freshest beer possible. Theres a nice sticky sweetness that still holds up. The hop juice is all over your palate. Someone please send me a fresh one of these. Tripplebrew (496), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Aroma is grassy with very strong hop presence. Flavor is a bit of the tart grapefruit, definite hops and grassy. Just another hop beer. nothing to go home and tell your mom about.
