Nose is ala perfume, floral, hoppy. Drinking this has a sharp citrusy bitterness. shrubber85 (2984), Wallhalben, Germany
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 20, 2007 Bottle (from KingpinIPA). Apricot and pine hops aroma. Medium amber with moderate head. Caramel malt, light apricot and moderate (for the style) pine hops flavor. This is very nice - what I like in an I2PA - a full malt flavor balanced with the hops. undsioux7 (561), Cologne, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Pours deep clear amber. The aroma wasn’t as strong as I expected. What hop aroma that was there was nice though. Had a nice pine and citris taste, but felt a little thin.
It just occoured to me that the grimreeser served this to me mighty cold, so I blame him. I will have to try again at a more servable temperature. grimreeser (797), Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Pours a darkish amber with a thin head. Very nice aroma, citus and pine. Very bitter, but not enough malt there to balance the hops. I’ll save you couple OG. Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Great aroma--it’s one massive pine forest in there. Not sweet, with a crazy flavor that finishes astringent after a quality that I swear felt slightly sour/lactic. Dirty malts don’t do anything to complement the hops. Brown/gold, clear appearance. It smells great but it’s downhill from there. Only for hop lovers. Bottle. isnus (7), USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 12, 2007 It pours a very translucent amber. It has alot more bitter flavor than the creamy floral hop flavor expected from a DIPA. Very pleasing pine/citrus smell. Tickles the tounge. The beer is much lighter than expected. It is very good, but doesn’t live up to its price. I missed it at the Autumn Brew Review (mpls) so was very eager to try it but left disappointed and glad I picked up a couple other IPAs. Good beer over all though but do not think I will buy it again. I will definitely grab it if I see it on tap anywhere. 37steel (186), St. Charles, Illinois, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 11, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful orange red with a thin white head. Aroma is grapefruits with hints of pine. Strong bitter flavor hits you right away. The grapefruit really comes through in the middle. Lingering bitterness.
