Oct 12, 2007 It pours a very translucent amber. It has alot more bitter flavor than the creamy floral hop flavor expected from a DIPA. Very pleasing pine/citrus smell. Tickles the tounge. The beer is much lighter than expected. It is very good, but doesn’t live up to its price. I missed it at the Autumn Brew Review (mpls) so was very eager to try it but left disappointed and glad I picked up a couple other IPAs. Good beer over all though but do not think I will buy it again. I will definitely grab it if I see it on tap anywhere.

Oct 11, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful orange red with a thin white head. Aroma is grapefruits with hints of pine. Strong bitter flavor hits you right away. The grapefruit really comes through in the middle. Lingering bitterness.

Oct 7, 2007 apricot aroma; taste is pretty malty with a good hop sting and some pine flavor; pretty substantial on the palate; not bad, but IIPAs are a tough crowd.

Body is orange red with a white head. Aroma - WOW! To summarize in one word, awesome! The hops just bombard your senses. Very cool. This was THE HIGHLIGHT of the event. I am going to get my hands on this beer. Great effort from Tyranena.

Oct 1, 2007 Deep copper/reddish color with a very thin head. It may not look like an IIPA, but good lord does it smell like one! Uber alpha acid from an incredible whack of citrus and pine hops. The taste of the hops does fade a bit in the flavor, but only because of the onslaught of the acidic bitterness and high octane alcohol. I’d love it more if it was slightly less bitter (or at least more of a lower acid hop), but still, this is a brew to behold.

Oct 1, 2007 Wow. Its been a while since I’ve been "blown clean out of myself" (Stephen King) by a beer. I mean I’ve had a lot of good ones recently with plenty of nuance- but sometimes its nice to just get flattened by the first sip. This is raw hop fighting like a fruit fly to shoot out of the sticky and caramely malt. Welcome Tyranena, to the Twin Cities!

Sep 27, 2007 Very solid beer. Ultra hoppy nose: citrus and pine. Sweet malty body with lots of hop. The alcohol bites through though.

Sep 26, 2007 Bottle. Pours Cloudy copper color, thin tan head. Aroma was outstanding, flowery, citrus, pine and a good amount of malt. Taste is pretty much the same except I did get a little bit of a metallic finish, not much, just a hint. Good full mouthfeel, bitterness lingers. This will make it into my fidge a lot.
