Head was thick and off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of cereal grain and light molasses...exactly like steeped barley. There was also some subdued perfumy hops. Medium bodied with plenty of hop bitterness, but lacking in hop flavor somewhat. I tasted only some malty cereal grain and tobacco. So so. DirtyMartini (194), Los Angeles, Alabama, USA

Smells hoppy (surprise, surprise) Sourish hoppiness. Also flavors of malts and caramel. OK backbone to the maltprofile. Pineneedles. OK balanced. Also quite bitter, Full bodied. Strong hoppy finish. Rich, fruity malts, citrus, hints of spruce and spice. Very sweet and malty, caramel initially, then followed by a blast of grapefruit and piney hops, with a peppery, astringent finish. Full, smooth body and gentle carbonation. henrikb (1303), Aarhus, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Beautiful clear dark copper body, near creamy yellowish head; Great nose, good size, very pleasant aromas, very flowery lily and violet; Very bitter body, well composed but not deep and complex enough, the texture is a bit to thin; aromas and texture (feel) of finish ends to quick, dry a little thin bitterness stays long. Alright beer, the aroma is great, but the body and finish doesnt do its job right. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

Nice hazy amber pour with a med-large tan head. Aroma is a nice cotrast between citrus-floral hops and sweet honey along with some summer fruits. Taste was like biting into a nice piece of fruit - bitter and sour, yet sweet . Very malty for a DIPA, but quite tasty nonetheless. Will have to seek out a few more next time I’m in Wisconsin. 5000 (2428), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2007 Bottle: Dark amber, fairly hazy, large foamy sandy colored head, sticky lacing.   Piney aroma, soft malts, semi-sweet, a little
bit of tropical fruit.   Moderate hop bitterness, soft malt base (not enough in my opinion), with a good dose of citrus rind.
Great IPA, but it just seems not to be heavy enough in the malt category to be a IIPA.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Had
their been more malts it would have been a bit heavier.   Soft bitter finish, fairly clean, lingering hop juice.   This one would
make a great IPA, but its just not heavy enough for me to be considered an Imperial IPA.   Thanks goes out to Facto for the
bottle!
