| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Bottle thanks to tjthresh. Pours hazy tawny with an average light brown head, somewhat diminishing, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (cereal, meal), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, herbs), average yeast (sweat) with notes of alcohol, pineapple and butter. Medium bodied, thick texture, soft carbonation and a bitter finish; quite harsh on the bitterness. I was a bit surprised following the awesome aroma. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and harsh bitterness. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

This is really about as solid a DIPA as you could wish for. Gorgeous copper body and thick froth, with just a massive fruity hop aroma. The mouthfeel is thick, almost creamy without being over the top. And as you get used to it you can sense the malt presence as well. YUM. marcus (1904), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 28, 2007 From trade with Artusory. This reddish amber beer poured with a decent off-white head and a malty pine aroma. There is a nice blend of malt and hops, resulting in a full chewy, bitter taste. There is a carbonated mouthfeel and a long bitter finish. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

a huge head of off-white results from the pour of this dark amber brew.
The aroma is big with lots of citrusy, piney hops over a light malt base.
The flavor is bitter overall with just enough malt to give this the support it needs. Another fine brew from a very solid brewery.
