Incredibly delicate and aromatic hop aroma. Full-bodied with lightly sweet caramel, overripe fruit and then a hoppy, but not overly bitter finish. Close to a Barley Wine crossover. Thanks heaps to my Secret Santa JCapriotti for this gem. 151206 Ungstrup (15361), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2006 An amber beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy and with strong notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, towards the end the hops grows in intensity with notes of grass and grapefruit, in the end the alcohol shows its presence with a slight burn. The finish is dry and bitter. KAME (156), California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 14, 2006 This is a very nice brew. Pours a full bodied amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is more piney than floral, but some citrusy notes are there as well. Flavor start big on hops and ends in piney slightly harsh bitterness. Mouthfeel is quite creamy and probably the highlight of this brew. Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2006 Pretty prominent hop experience. Yes, this is my hop prostitute of the evening. A little off-kilter with the hops, but I am a big fan of that. Not an all-nighter, but a sure treat to drink. Nice looking, fresh smelling and biting from start to finish. I like. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

The flavor is pine, peach and fairly dry. Medium body with a dry and bitter finish. acertain (249), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Pours a deep copper with a thin white head. Aroma is of strong hops, tipping over to the penicillin-like aroma that dominated GI’s IIPA, in fact, it almost smelled like animal urine. You might think that such a comment would warrant a rating of 1, but I could still detect the goodness behind it (and it was only a hint of urine :) ). In the mouth, it was full and well-carbonated, but the flavor was more muted than I would have guessed. It was more hops and less urine/penicillin. bu11zeye (5608), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a clear amber body with an average white head. Bountiful aroma of grapefruit and pine. Flavor of hops and caramel malt does not live up to the aroma. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Can I get a "Whatever" for all this IIPA clones. Just like Hopslam, Hopjuice, Hopcum, etc. I suppose with all these hop beers it is just when you sample them. Yea a ruby color beer pours with a dedent head. Strong hop aroma and taste, citrus. Very dry finish. Been there done that.
