Dark orange pour with a very thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, apricot, and pine; smells delicious. Taste is good but not great (especially given the aroma). The hop bitterness is there and is actually balanced very well. I actually have more of a problem with the mouthfeel; a bit thin and almost watery. A good DIPA all the same, but I had hoped for more. (To be fair, I have glanced through some of the other ratings and a much larger head is mentioned. I will assume that the bottle I have tried may not be the freshest. I have considered that and given the aroma, which is exceptional, I would think is probably a better beer than I have rated it.) TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA

Even though it tastes a bit different, I can still pretty much copy and paste what I said about Tyranena’s "Stickin’ It to the Man" extra IPA, with minor changes: Pours a nice, hazy, sediment-filled caramel with thin white head that leaves lots of lacing in its wake. Aroma is bitter hops, hops, and more hops, oh, and maybe a hint of citrus and malt. Flavor is, as one might expect, utterly dominated by sharp hop bitterness, but wit little in the way of pleasant citrus notes or balancing from the malt found in better versions of the style. Medium palate has a bitter follow-up just in case you didn’t get enough bitterness when you took the sip that you’re swallowing. Just one more example of the countless impetuous, in-your-face American IPAs done in a style I have never grown to appreciate and probably never will. jcr (1153), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2009 Bottle. Medium amber body with an off-white, mostly dimminishing, short head. Strong malty aroma with plenty of citrusy hops below that. Notes of grapefruit, resin and toasted grain. Hint of orange juice and caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body with a watery texture. Lively carbonation. Strong malt presence somewhat mutes the hops, but overall the balance is OK. Enjoyable though underwhelming compared to top-notch imperial IPAs. JaBier (1219), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Bottle courtesy of BeerBelcher. He warned me ahead of time that it may be past its prime, which I figured given when it was brewed. Still glad to get a chance to try it. Semi-cloudy amber pour with a big beige head. Lots of malt in the aroma with some citrus hops. Bitter citrus hop flavor with some sweet grainy malt, alcohol and a bitter finish. Better than I expected for the age on this one, and must have been outstanding when fresh. Dogbrick (2855), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Thanks to sliffy for sharing a bottle. This beer is a hazy amber-orange color with a medium and fluffy white head that dissipates steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Lightly floral hops aroma with sweet malt in the background. Medium body with a citrusy hops flavor balanced out by caramel malt. Notes of muted pine as well. The finish is subtle hops and malt with a lingering bitterness. I think this bottle was a little past its prime but still pretty good. Pastor (509), Maine, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2009 Big thanks to Buebie for sending this along to me. To be fair to him he told me it had some age
I poured it into a dogfish head snifter and was greeted with a finger worth of off white head that turned to lace. The body was a clear amber colored brew.
Aromas are subdued hops I searched the bottle and could not find a best by date or a brew date so hard to say how old it is. So due to that fact I’ll review it but the brewer should put a date on the bottle. The smell is still piney and floral hops but not as big as I would think. The flavor of hops is still here but the malts is way more pronounced, more of a balanced DIPA at this time. It was still hoppy though with a nice dry bitter finish. The body was medium feel in my mouth and good carbonation. A good DIPA at this time I will look for a fresher bottle but I rate it as average in the drinkability.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2009 Guess this bottle was beyond freshness becouse there was basically just alittle bit of perfumey hops in the nose alongside a basic sweet caramell base with a nutty touch. Body was quite nice, lively, clean and drinkable. FInishes bittersweet with a lingering caramell touch. Lothore (276), California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 2, 2009 A- Pours a deep reddish orange with a nice 2 finger head that dissipates fairly quickly.
S- Smells consists of: strong floral hops, light candied apple aroma, hints of mixed spices.
T- Taste starts out with strong floral notes brought forth heavily in the nose which back off into a deep breadiness followed by hop bitterness that latches to the tongue and grasps on for dear life.
M- Medium bodied with quite a bit of carbonation.
D- This is definitely a drinkable DIPA. Not too thick, the flavor profile throws you for a loop from what youd expect out of an average DIPA and it is all around balanced minus the expected hop bitterness.
