Slight citrus and grassy resin hop notes. Very light citrus taste that goes into malty hoppiness. A little too much bread taste in there for me. Hops are overly bitter and the abv is well hidden. I really like this series from Tyranena and look forward to trying others. Thanks for the bonus Eric. merlin48 (519), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Pours a hazy copper amber with a small offwhite head. Bold aroma of pink grapefruit, pine, and grassy and leafy hops. Taste has a spunky pine bitterness that is rounded by a pleasant citrusy sweetness of pineapple and orange. Some earthy and herbal hop notes underneath. Caramel malt backbone is subtle but provides balance. No alcohol noticed. Quite tasty, but it doesn’t seem like a DIPA. sebletitje (1986), Tampa, Florida, USA

pours cloudy amber/orange with beige head.
Aroma is fruity with grapefruit, with a good balance nose of malt.
Taste malty / caramel with good boozy mouthfeel. Hops is characterized by some light notes of grapefruit/pine which remain right under the malt and add to the faint bitter finish. Very well balanced. My kin of IIPA, forget the bitterness. Beerman6686 (1292), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2009 This poured a clear copper color with an off white head. Aroma was floral hops and soem sweetness as well. Flavor was nice strong hop flavor upfront, but a bit too much sweetness in the swallow. I have a feeling this wasnt quite as fresh as it should be and I would liek to try again fresh. cgarvieuk (4212), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2009 12 oz bottle via trade with Noblesquirrel. pours an amber-copper color with a foamy off-white head that fair retention and great lacing. The aroma is pungent with fresh green hops, loads of chlorophyll, pine, sweet malts, and a touch of citrus. The flavor is overtly biter with piney hops taking center stage, supporting the sides are caramels, grapefruits and pecans. The finish is long with biter sensations giving way to sweet caramel. The mouthfeel is malty with lively carbonation. Overall: I loved this ale, the bitterness was a bit harsh, but still very enjoyable. This is a big bold IPA for people who love big bold beers. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 22, 2009 Tons of sweet malt coupled excellent with a nice bouquet of fruit (grapefruit) and pine hops. Palate is kinda of sticky. Leaves a nice resiny pine bitterness on the tongue. Long finish.
