12 oz bottle courtesy of DrnkMcDermott. Pours a beautiful Indian Summer brown, hazy with moderate tan head. Aromas are lighter hop bouque, light citrus and floral and some gumball candy with a touch of carmel malt. Nice. Initial is very inviting, but seems a bit depleted. Lemony citrus hops dominate the hoppy part with a formidable opposition in its biscuity malt counterpart. Balanced, almost sessionable. Starts to lace a bit, carmel and grapefruit peek through in spurts as the body comes through. Finishes with full flavor, but hop whore is definitely a bit old. Pretty good despite the fact. Cheers!

Bottle. Pours clear red with an off white head. Aroma is lightly sweet, with citrus fruits and pine needles. The flavor is way hoppy, with floral, pine, citrus fruit, tropical fruit and just enough malt to balance. Very good.

12 oz bottle via trade, thanks Mike. Pours a deep reddish orange with an average size foamy light beige head. Aroma had a slight soapiness about it but underneath that was some pineapple and citrus hops and tropical fruit. Palate on this one was rather thin and seemed watery with light carbonation but a strong bitter bite at the end. Flavor of citrus and caramel and bready malts. This one took away but it grew on me by the end sort of like the singability of a Pink song.

[Bottle] Pours a deep copper with a smallish beige head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is loaded with citric, floral, and perfumy hops and just enough malt backbone. Flavor is strikingly bitter, but not overdone. Definitely a hop forward beer. Loaded with earthy and citrus flavors. The caramel malt balances nicely on the finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a rich amber color with a big frothy white head that has a bit less than average retention but laces very nicely. Aroma is very heavy on the fruity, citrus hops. Big, but not too overpowering. Flavor is nice and big in the front and trails off to a nice almost grapefruit flavor. Very citrus and resiny. Easy on the palate and very drinkable. Another good offering from Tyranena.

For some reason, this IIPA seemed to hoppy or maybe there just wasnt balence. I cant put my finger on it. Maybe I should sample another, but I only had one.

Thanks to StFun, who hooked me up yet again. Poured a deep, lightly hazy chestnut color with a moderate off-white head that faded to a thick layer and left awesome lacing. Aroma of leafy, resinous hops, some moderate fruitiness (orange, tangerine, green apple), and some caramel and toffee. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some undertones of citrus (orange and lemon) that use a sweet caramel tangerine flavor to transition into a resiny hoppiness that finishes with some fruit, a light leafiness and a bit of caramel. Moderate carbonation, full on the palate. This seemed somewhat like Devil Dancer, which doesn’t necessarily fit into most people’s definition of IIPA, but it is enjoyable and tasty. Thanks Josh.
