Commercial Description:
The Painted Ladies Annual Fling celebrates the renaissance of downtown Lake Mills. Although named for the restoration of the many Victorian storefronts, some of the more adventurous women-folk added a playful twist and dressed as, well, painted ladies. Inspired by these bold and spicy women, we brewed Painted Ladies, a pumpkin and spice-infused amber ale. This fall, make sure you enjoy a fling with a few Painted Ladies.

Pours to a deep mahogany body with a tall, foamy dense beige head. The aroma is spicy with ginger and allspice with a lot of pumpkins. The flavor is heavily pumpkin with some ginger and nutmeg. I love the heavy amount of pumpkin. The palate is medium bodied and subtly sweet.

From the bottle, pours almost orange with a thin white bubbly head. Pumpkin pie spicy aroma. Taste is also like pumpkin pie, with an extra spice kick at the end. Thin, but good. I’d say one of the better pumpkin ales out there.

Bottle thanks to 17thfloor. Orange copper appearance with creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweeter spice, big pumpkin, sweeter malt, real rich, pleasant. Flavor is rich pumpkin, caramel, spice, slight toast and biscuit as well. Medium, creamy body. One of the better pumpkin beers.

Pours a copper color with thin off-white head. Aroma is of pumpkin spice and light malt. Taste is pumpkin spice (nutmeg, cinnaomon) in the front but quickly fades. For once, a pumpkin beer that doesn’t laden your palate with over the top spice. Very delicious and easy drinking!

Pours an amber copper with a moderate light tan head. Nose is nutmeg and spices. Taste is nutmeg, pumpkin and malt. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel. A pleasant beer to enjoy in the fall. Pairs well with corned beef on rye.

Thanks 17thfloor for sharing the bottle! Pours a lightly hazy golden brown with a thick pillowy off white head. Aroma is spicy and very pumpkin, more so than many of the other pumpkin ales. Lots of cinnamon and ginger in there. Flavor is again, very pumpkin, and lots of sweet pumpkin pie sugars. Nice maltiness in the finish, like the crust of the pie. Just a hint of bitterness from the hops lingers. Medium to full creamy body and a soft pleasant carbonation. Really nice dessert beer, very true to the pumpkin spice.

12oz bottle 10/19/09 (Binny’s Plainfield)-Pours a medium orangish amber iwth a small white head. Aroma of spices and pumpkin. Taste of the same with the pumpkin comin through on the back end. This medium bodied brew is definitely one of the better pumpkin beers and another KICK ASS brew from Tyranena.

Pours a deep amber orange with a fair amount of semi-tinted head. Aroma is spiced pumpkin, cloves and ginger. Flavor is gingered pumpkin with nutmeg and malts. Body is light with medium carbonation. One of the better pumpkin beers i’ve had.
