| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Bottle - Clear copper pour with a nice foamy tan head. Smell is a bit off -- sour malt and light pumpkin pie spice, a touch of hops, and a bit of skunkiness. It doesn’t seem to be able to make up it’s mind about whether it’s a pumpkin beer or a sweet, malty beer. Taste is better, with tons of caramel and a bit of nutmeg and cloves. There’s a little stale hop bitterness on the finish, and it’s smooth and silky in the mouth. Overall, not bad, but not one that I would repeat next year given all the fall seasonals I’d like to sample. mar (1903), Dallas, Texas, USA
