Commercial Description:
Next Brewers Gone Wild! Beer: Paradise By The Dash Board Lights - A Doubly Blessed Cherry Porter. Yes, another variation of an Imperial Porter. This one was inspired by a Cherry Stout brewed by Fitger’s that we tasted at the Autumn Brew Review in St. Paul... although I now have no recollection of how it actually tasted. Paradise By The Dash Board Lights was brewed with our "base" Imperial Porter recipe with the addition of 840 pounds of tart cherry puree. I think it has a nice tartness... and a nice level of cherry flavor. Everything changes after the yeast drops out, we filter the beer, and also once carbonated.

(12oz bottle) Pours a dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, smoke, and cherry. Flavor of roasted malt, cherry, toasted grain, and cocoa.

Another interesting change of pace but gets tiring. Cherry flavor is about right intensity and stays through to after taste.

12oz bottle, no date--thank you much GeneralGao (Colin)! Pours deep brown with slight ruby hints--black in my glass with a 1 1/2 finger tan head, good retention. Pretty good amount of chocolate and roasted malts in the aroma, with a little caramel in the backend. I have trouble finding the cherries, but after swirling it around quite a bit and nosing it a while, there may be a hint of tart cherries. Flavor is much the same with the roast pulling back a bit. Light tart cherries in the finish. Sweet finish, at first--but then turns quite roasty with bitterness @ a 3. Light prickly carbonation with a medium body. Not the best Brewers Gone Wild.

Bottle courtesy of mother in law. Some roasted and coffee aromas on the nose. Black body with tan head. At first just a medium carbinated roasted malt flavor. On the finish the cherries and creamy body texture was present. Man with out the finish of this thought it was rather bland.

Pours dark brown, with a minimal head - aroma of bittersweet chocolate and a moderate amount of earthy cherries, tartness and all - the flavor starts out with a little doughy character, dark chocolate, and a bit of roast - gets somewhat tart through the middle, as the cherries come to the fore, and are complimented well by the dark chocolate flavors - lingering tartness and earthy qualities - I’m not usually all the impressed by this brewer, but this beer is quite nice.

Courtesy of Gillard, thanks Ryan. Pours deep dark brown with amber edges and thin tan head. The aroma is pretty full and rich with modestly roasty malts moving toward molasses, earthiness and faint berry notes. The taste has roast and some burnt malts bleeding into chocolate, a dash of molasses. Into the finish I get a modest amount of cherry to go along with an upwelling of mild caramel notes. Fading notes of roasty to burnt malts bring this experience to closure.

Thanks to whomever let me try this at Redlight Redlight. Pours a dark color with a strong toasted malt aroma. Nice roast going on in the nose, without a lot of cherries. The flavor is also a good roast, with just a hint of tart cherries. Not medicinal at all, like many cherry beers. Good stuff.
