Commercial Description:
Next Brewers Gone Wild! Beer: Paradise By The Dash Board Lights - A Doubly Blessed Cherry Porter. Yes, another variation of an Imperial Porter. This one was inspired by a Cherry Stout brewed by Fitger’s that we tasted at the Autumn Brew Review in St. Paul... although I now have no recollection of how it actually tasted. Paradise By The Dash Board Lights was brewed with our "base" Imperial Porter recipe with the addition of 840 pounds of tart cherry puree. I think it has a nice tartness... and a nice level of cherry flavor. Everything changes after the yeast drops out, we filter the beer, and also once carbonated.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a deep, dark brown with tan head. Aroma of some dark roast, some cherries. Flavor of dark roast and cherries. Mouth feel is medium body with low-high carbonation. Overall, it’s not bad! Nothing great though....

Had this on tap at the Tyranena tasting room - Poured dark brown with small tan head. Aroma - coffee, chocolate and cherries. Flavor - very easy drinking coffee, chocolate and mild cherry taste. Palate - light/ medium mouthfeel with little carbonation. Finish is slightly earthy with definite cherry aftertaste. Overall - unique porter, that cherry puree addition is pretty good and not overly done. Lacks some malt flavor on palate, but still good!

Tap at the Happy Gnome. Black color with a large head. No real aroma to speak of. Sharp roasted malt character. Light chocolate. Certainly cherries, but not nearly enough to make me actually think this is a cherry porter without seeing the label. Thick and creamy feel. A little disappointing with the lack of cherry flavor, but enjoyed as a simple porter, it’s still solid.

Poured a nice dark brown/blackish color with a medium tan head. Great aromas of roasted malt, coffee and some chocolate. I was really trying to detect the cheery aroma. I think I may have smelled a few molecules of cherry, but that was it. Flavor is of roasted malts, and coffee, but that’s where it gets interesting. There seems to be a clash of the roasted malts, with the tartness of the cherries. The cherries per say are not too distinct, but the tartness is. Wonderful bitter porter-like finish.. I think I was looking for a little more cherry flavor in this brew. Not bad though.

12 oz bottle. Dark brown with a foamy tan head. Nose is coffee and brown sugar with faint citrus and cherry. Medium body with crisp, tangy carb. Taste is mocha and tart cherry juice. Develops into a dark chocolate and cherry pit finish. Just enough fruit; good.

Bottle via trade with biniek13. Also a deep cola brown. Strong sudsy khaki head. Nose is faint. Burnt malt to the nose, a certain dryness to it. Flavors are a roasted malt with a cherry aftertaste, some tartness too. Flavors are not very bold. Mouth is medium full, mild carbonation.
