Commercial Description:
Next Brewers Gone Wild! Beer: Paradise By The Dash Board Lights - A Doubly Blessed Cherry Porter. Yes, another variation of an Imperial Porter. This one was inspired by a Cherry Stout brewed by Fitger’s that we tasted at the Autumn Brew Review in St. Paul... although I now have no recollection of how it actually tasted. Paradise By The Dash Board Lights was brewed with our "base" Imperial Porter recipe with the addition of 840 pounds of tart cherry puree. I think it has a nice tartness... and a nice level of cherry flavor. Everything changes after the yeast drops out, we filter the beer, and also once carbonated.

Bottle. Poured an opaque black color. The head was one finger high and light brown with an orange tint. Head retention was good and some lace was left behind on the glass. I smelled chocolate mostly with just a whiff of roast. There wasn’t any significant cherry in the nose. Medium bodied and delicately sweet up front with mild roasty bitterness at the end. Chocolate, roasted malt, and a hint of subdued vague fruit flavors emerged. Again, I didn’t get any distinct cherry, per se. Decent, but where is the cherry?

courtesy of Zack. pours dark brown, beige head. Aroma of cherry puree with hints of chocolate malts, caramel. Flavor, cherry is right where it should be though a little in the background but doesn’t add any type of tartness. Good malty and chocolate notes

Bottle thanks to Hophead22.. Pours pitch black with a light mocha head..Aroma is smoke, coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts and burnt toast...Flavor is dark chocolate, roasted malts and smoke. Kinda leaves a weird aftertaste, maybe its from the cherries..Thin with lots of carbonation.

Bottle. Pours black with an average, frothy light brown head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, chocolate, nutty), light hop (herbs), average yeast (leather) with notes of cherry. Medium bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

12oz bottle. Walnut brown pour with a two fingered tan head, the flavors that hit me were dark chocolate up front, some roasted nuts and a tart cherry finish.
