Commercial Description:
Next Brewers Gone Wild! Beer: Paradise By The Dash Board Lights - A Doubly Blessed Cherry Porter. Yes, another variation of an Imperial Porter. This one was inspired by a Cherry Stout brewed by Fitger’s that we tasted at the Autumn Brew Review in St. Paul... although I now have no recollection of how it actually tasted. Paradise By The Dash Board Lights was brewed with our "base" Imperial Porter recipe with the addition of 840 pounds of tart cherry puree. I think it has a nice tartness... and a nice level of cherry flavor. Everything changes after the yeast drops out, we filter the beer, and also once carbonated.

(Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is a solid black nice tan head. Aroma is faint with just a mild roasted malt coming out. Taste is mildly roasted. Starting with a medium body it goes down easy. Finish is a mellow roasted malt taste with a hint of chocolate and just a touch of cherry. After taste is tart with a rich feel. Overall its a nice yet light Porter, but the cherry is too hard to find.

12oz. bottle, with thanks to FlssmrBrewAlum for the great bonus! Pours dark brown with a good sized lingering tan head. Aroma is fudge, chocolate covered cherries, and light coffee. Flavor is roasted coffee, chocolate and some hints of tart cherries. A very easy drinking porter, thanks again Adam!

Bottle thanks to JME. Thanks, buddy. This is a damn tasty beer. Pours dark brown with thin light brown head. Nose hits a bit oddly at first, but then the metallic sharp/tart notes settle down and the beer reveals itself. Roasty malt with chocolate and coffee notes. Mild creamy cherry notes. Cherry is more tart and slightly more pronounced on the taste, but not heavy by any means. Light, slick palate. Quite good.

Courtesy fantomas23. Pours a dark brown color with a good sized khaki colored head that slowly settles to some thin lacing. The aroma shows hints of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel, and some tart cherries. The flavor follows with the more dark chooclate, caramel sweetness, and a heavy dose of roasted coffee. The tart cherry seems to pull everything together and calm the roasty elements down. You definitely get some chocolate covered cherry flavor. Medium bodied, and smooth carbonation that made it easy to drink with a long, chocolate cherry finish. I wouldn’t quite call this an imperial porter though. The tart cherries does add a really nice element to this beer. Nice little porter.

Bottled. This is a nice clean, full, easy drinking porter, aided by a rather nice sweet-tart cherry note and espresso coffee finish. Quite nice.

Thanks to rustychiles for the share. Pours a turbid brown. Aroma is somewhat like bourbon, mild cherries roast. Flavor is intricate but comes across as bland somehow. A solid beer, but not terribly impressive. My favorite part is that the cherries aren’t overwhelming like they usually are in beers.

Bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey. Thanks Bill. Pours a nice brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roast, malts, barley, chocolate, cherry. Flavor is barley, malt, roast, chocolate, finish has a hint of cherry. Nice and balanced porter and the cherry is very subtle and not overdone.
