Nose is sweet, some cherry. Taste is sweet with a cherry malty mix. I was a bit disappointed with this be completely honest. orville (160), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA

I like the rustice flavor and I could see alot of red wine drinkers digging this beer. Brigadier (1246), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

Again thanks to Ughsmash for a prompt shipment of Wisconsin goodness. This was near the top of the list of things I wanted to try. Along with New Glarus’ Unplugged lineup the BGW! beers seldom disappointment and often amaze. Snap it up while you still can.
Aroma / Appearance - The deep brown body and tan head mingle into a cohesive visual presentation. Sheets of clear lacing leave a mark as they flow into the main liquid. Black coffee, cherry slushee, and smoky chocolate make me want to take a sip immediately. The cherry is not intense but evident with a bit of reflection stands out against the rest.
Flavor / Palate - The coffee bite does not let go until the next wave of flavors makes an appearance. This includes rich chocolate, cherry pits, and maltiness. As usual with the BGW! beer this is better fresh. I would not age it unless you have a spare bottle around and want to experiment. Otherwise open it tonight. JaBier (1233), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 31, 2009 Bottle courtesy of BeerBelcher. Dark brown color with a thin tan head. Malty and roasty aroma with a hint of cherry. Roasty chocolate flavor with some mildly tart cherries and a bitter coffee finish. Never thought I’d say this about a fruit-infused porter, but it could actually use more cherry flavor. Still a very good beer though. gunhaver (1027), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2009 Bottle, courtesy Gillard probably. Reddish brown color, fuzzy white bubbly head, slight amount of lacing. Huge coffee nose, chocolate, Raisenettes, some cherry. Big roasted flavors, coffee, chocolate and some cherry, and some toast. Burnt, creamy body, tasty. Rciesla (3710), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark brune body with a tan head. Malty, grainy, cherry accents, burnt coffee and well its just kinda dull. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 24, 2009 Pros: Has some nice things going on in the flavor. Well brewed, with some positive elements in the flavor of cherry and dark malt goodness.
Cons: Filtered. Force Carbonated. Muted weak nose only shows a glimpse of cherry and malt. Very weak bodied and dead. Lacking purity. Solid flavor, but doesn’t have any intensity.
