Commercial Description:
Next Brewers Gone Wild! Beer: Paradise By The Dash Board Lights - A Doubly Blessed Cherry Porter. Yes, another variation of an Imperial Porter. This one was inspired by a Cherry Stout brewed by Fitger’s that we tasted at the Autumn Brew Review in St. Paul... although I now have no recollection of how it actually tasted. Paradise By The Dash Board Lights was brewed with our "base" Imperial Porter recipe with the addition of 840 pounds of tart cherry puree. I think it has a nice tartness... and a nice level of cherry flavor. Everything changes after the yeast drops out, we filter the beer, and also once carbonated.

Polished beer, roasted coffee, dark cherries and good acidity. Bold yet well balanced. I like the rustice flavor and I could see alot of red wine drinkers digging this beer.

12 oz bottle from Princeton’s. Dark raisin colored pour with a quickly dissipating head. Coffee aroma with hints of cherry coming through. Flavor is of tart cherry and coffee with some chocolate. Very smooth creamy mouthfeel with the chocolate lingering on the palate.

Bottle from GAManiac. Thanks, Grant! I wanted this ’cause my wife loves the Meatloaf song of the same name; her and a good friend of hers even have a routine to the song. Nonetheless... Pours a beautiful, Guinness-like black with a faint head of off-white. Aroma is a blanket of melted chocolate powder with freshly ground coffee beans sprinkled within. Man, I’m really diggin’ this aroma; many beers claim to have coffee thrown in the mix but this stuff actually smells like a bag of fresh coffee grounds. Flavor is a rush of chocolate that is tempered by cinnamon-cherry coffee. No other way to describe it; it’s simple, yet very deep and rich. Average mouthfeel. Nice brew; I will definitely get more of this.

A stellar bonus from noncaloric. Pours a super dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and vague hints of very dark cherries. Flavor is bad ass. It starts a bit roasty with some chocolate and then it ends with a nice fruity tartness. The flavor reminds me of eating a nice dark cherry and then keeping the pit in my mouth for awhile. Fun beer.

It’s hard for me not to rate these guys high- they do such an awesome job at all their beers! Pitch black- tar, motor oil- whatever you want to call it’s image- but nothing like it in taste! Aroma is cherry infused, smoke- rauchbier like qualities- bbq i guess- chocolate and oak on the nose. Taste is very rich, again black cherry- probably chocolate covered. Lots of dark fruit, great tasting and super filling!

Black body with a light tan head. The aroma was cherries with some cola and chocolate. There was also some coffee. The taste was light with the cherries and some cola. This was woody with a strong roasted finish. Nicely made brew.

Pours dark brown, with a minimal head - aroma of bittersweet chocolate and a moderate amount of earthy cherries, tartness and all - the flavor starts out with a little doughy character, dark chocolate, and a bit of roast - gets somewhat tart through the middle, as the cherries come to the fore, and are complimented well by the dark chocolate flavors - lingering tartness and earthy qualities - I’m not usually all the impressed by this brewer, but this beer is quite nice.
