12oz bottle. Amber/brown pour with a big beige head. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, bread, hops and wood. Subtle oak flavor up front, followed by caramel and then a dry finish. The barrel is not overdone on this one, which is refreshing.

Pours dark amber/brown with thin head. Aroma of roasted malts and alcohol. Can easily tell from the first sip that this is aged in a barrel. Good balance, but a bit of an alcohol taste that comes through. Dry finish.

Bottle from Archer Liquor. Pours ruby with a 4-finger "rocky" beige head. Aroma is sweet malt and arguably vanilla from a barrel. Medium body with mild, creamy carbonation. Flavor is very smooth roasted malt. Finishes more bitter than not, and with time the vanilla/oak aspect is quite noticeable. It’s a very good beer.

Not bad smell. Sweet oat bag and syrup. Brown color. Decent head. Can actually taste the bourbon a bit, which is a plus. Without that it would probably not be nearly as good. Gives it a woody dimension in what would otherwise be a pretty unflavored beer.

nose of sour mash and a ting of sweetness. dark red color with good head. palate is a tad sour, a tad sweet and the bite of bourbon overpowers the taste. a good showing from tyranena.
