Jul 14, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Lucy Saunders. Ruby brown body with a small off white head that fades. Aroma is a pleasant boozy vanilla fiesta. Hints of almonds and expensive ice cream sundae. (7+) Flavour is a bit muddled, with similar notes of vanilla, with caramel as well. Flavour gets boozy quickly, with mild woody undertones. Alcoholic vanilla eventually dominates the flavour. Average palate is under carbonated, but creamy. This is fairly nice, but a bit overpowering at times.

Jul 12, 2007 Bottle. Nose of sweet malt, oak and just a hint of alcohol. Pours brown with amber highlights. Sticky white lacing. Odd flavor profile: sweet then dry. Rich then watery and metallic. Lots of flavor, but doesn’t really come together well. Rich and creamy on the palate, but lacks carbonation. Finishes sticky and boozy. A bit disjointed and not wholly balanced.

Jul 8, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a dark mahogany body with a small off-white head. Aroma smoke, woodiness, licorice, bourbon, and vanilla. Flavor of brown sugar, bourbon, cocoa, and caramel.

Jul 2, 2007 Picked up single bottle from Murray’s in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a dark amber brown brew with an average light beige head that dissolves to a heavy bubble ring. Aroma of distinct caramel with characteristic of bourbon oak, vanilla and a touch of toffee. Taste is lightly carbonated, vanilla with a sweet bourbon aftertaste. Finish has a little hop bitterness but the bourbon taste is overwhelming.

Jun 19, 2007 bottle....poured amber-brown with a medium off-white head.....aroma: caramel malts with an ever so subtle hint of some bourbon notes. not too assertive in the nose at all....taste: dominated by sweet caramel malt with some nuts and vanilla thrown in for good measure. very light on the bourbon aging as it played a barely noticeable role in this brew.

May 31, 2007 Thanks to buckybeer for the bottle. Clear orange/copper with a small head. Aroma of bourbon, caramel and nuts. Taste was sweet, with just the right amount of bourbon. Also some oak and vanilla. Medium body.
