Bottle: Pours a dark chocolate brown with a minimal cream head. Nose is mainly vanilla, oak, bourbon, brown sugar and some toasted malts. Very enticing aroma...medium bodied mouth feel. Flavor is smooth, lightly hoppy, some chocolate, vanilla and bourbon notes along with some biscuity malts. Good stuff.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Clear orangey brown with a rough, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of burned caramel and a little bourbon. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt, burned caramel and a dry lightly bitter finish. 201008

Bottle. [Tasting @ Papsoe 20-10-2008] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Mahogany color. Aroma of rye bread, caramel, mild floral notes. Over the palate came caramelized, fruit, mild alcohol. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitterness. Lingering sweet and light toasted malty finish.

Deep amber color with a medium tan head and a lot of flakes floating around in it. Mild caramel taste with a slightly smokey flavor and a light chocolate aroma.

Aroma- Bourbon and oaky tones dominate, faint hints of sweet chocolate and caramel malts linger beneath the boozey aromas, dark fruit esters in the background, no diacetyl. Appearance- Dark amber-brown hue, minimal off-white head dissipates quickly, good clarity. Flavor- Bourbon and oaky wood flavors fight with the sweet chocolate and caramel malts throughout, nutty tones gradually creep in, the faint hop bitterness again gets washed out by the bourbon and oak flavors, molasses and dark fruit linger midway, finishes sweet and boozey, no diacetyl. Mouthfeel- Medium-bodied, moderate-low carbonation, alcohol warming in the finish. Overall- The bourbon dominates, as opposed to accentuates, the existing sweet and nutty malt profile, while the malts and balancing bitter hops are perceivable they are unable to gain ground on the barrel-aged flavors, while this beer is not to style it is still enjoyable and unique.

Bottle given by alexadad06. Poured a cloudy brown color with a large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted nutty and woody bourbon aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Solid balanced toasted woody bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

Pours a dark brown. The nose is rather weak, with mild notes of chocolate. Comes across the palate rather weak; with some chocolate and mocha notes. Very smooth and nild bodies.
